This would be awesome. I don't want to give up any future 1sts or any of Monroe, Drummond, Smith, Jennings and KCP. I doubt we would be able to get a deal done, but if we could I would be all for it!

That doesn't hold much water... execs should always be looking for upgrades.
Still would like to see what we have to work with at this time.

before our team was built how it is i would welcome wilson, now not so much. we lack a go to scorer, mainly on the wing. we dont need anymore cludder on our bench.

Chandler played the 2 for the Knicks, I think he'd be fine. I wish we could get him for Stuckey/Mitchell.

Seriously? You guys are saying singler and datome are the answer at backup SF?
This is a hypothetical for the trade deadline, and I havent given up on them, and still want to see more, but this is a clear upgrade. And it gives us a starters quality player to play the sixth man at a position that requires a lot of minutes from the backup.

Jennings/Billups
Stuckey/KCP
Smith/Chandler
Monroe/Smith
Drummond/Monroe

Okay I will wake up now lol

Hes also the perfect fit for about 28 other teams. His contract is low and his talent is high. That makes him very pricey. Yes Denver will ask for Monroe/Drummond.

No they won't. They offered him up for the #14 pick in a week draft.

Singler is plenty capable of being our backup 3. The hate he gets on here is silly.

dan2314 wrote:Denver right now looks AWFUL. Dont you guys think that wilson chandler would be perfect for the backup SF minutes for when josh smith moves to PF? So if Denver continues to be bad, and be out of the playoff race, theres a good chance they want to tank, and might like some expiring contracts to start over.

What would you trade to get wilson chandler? I would be ok with giving up quite a bit, but my starting offer would be something like Stuckey and a second round pick, maybe even 2, and wouldnt be against going higher.

Also please dont say something like CV and jerebko or something... wilson chandler is a GOOD player, they arent going to give him up for just an expiring/or a couple of bench warmers, because they could just look at him as if he is one of the building blocks that they could get in the next year, to add to the rebuild, as he is still fairly young (26). If you dont want one of our players because he is 'junk' then why would they give up a good piece for them. Keep it realistic.

If there were ever a scenario of cap relief from us for Chandler I would do it in a heartbeat. I've loved his game since the Knick years. I would start him at SG and see what happens. You can never have too much talent regardless of what position they play

I would be down with this trade. He could start at SG and then switch to SF when Dre comes out. Its one of the few trades that makes sense right now, because we really don't have many major needs. The only need is at SG, but with KCP being the future, we don't want to invest heavily in that position, so a mid-level vet like Chandler on a short term deal makes a lot of sense.
