I really hope MLS spends a ton of time promoting the Portland-Seattle matchup. The games between the clubs are always great due to the heated rivalry, and it's the perfect opportunity to show the US and Canadian markets just how far soccer has come in the past two decades and that the sport can be exciting here.

MLS may not be at the same level as the European leagues in terms of skill, but this rivalry is probably on par with some from those leagues in terms of its intensity. I think we could see Seattle break another attendance record and Portland will likely extend is sellout streak.

Looks like Montreal is done...

I think New York/Montreal would have been a better series for MLS, but Colorado is really hard to beat.

Yeah, Houston looks tough. It's going to take more than just Michaels Secret Stuff to bring the Impact back in it.

No idea why I said Colorado, but whatever.

Houston will move on. New York will have a tough time keeping up with their pace.

What a crazy way to end the game for Montreal.

The Montreal Meltdown will be remembered for a long time I think.

a little disappointing that tomorrow nights game between the Sounderhawks and the Timbers will be played on a field with football lines and Seahawks logos.

The curse of not having a soccer specific stadium.

Seattle deserves one, but it will need to be big, which means it would likely be too expensive.

MLS did a really poor job getting playoff games on National TV in the US and Canada.

Really pathetic.

Roughly 30 minutes before kick off of the New England Revs vs Sporting KC match, followed by Sounders vs Timbers. Prediction time for myself.

New England 0
Sporting KC 3

Seattle 3
Portland 1

MLS Playoffs continue today with the Houston Dynamo hosting the New York Red Bulls today at 3:30pm EST (an hour from now) and the LA Galaxy hosts Real Salt Lake at 9pm EST (on ESPN)

i got Houston/New York tying 1-1 and RSL winning 2-0, obvious homer pick.

What a comeback from Houston! They are really showing they belong in the playoffs and can go deep.

Winning in New York will be tough though.

By the way, the NFL lines look terrible.

Either change the schedule to avoid the lines, or demand all playoffs games are played without them. It makes the whole league look like a joke.

MLS playoffs continue tonight....but won't be available to most people, which is embarrassing. Red Bulls vs Houston will be on UniMas, nationally televised but only in Spanish. SKC vs Revs won't even be televised nationally. If you're not getting it locally, the only way to watch it is through MLS Direct Kick or MLSLive. such a shame, i was most looking forward to that game of the two.

MLS definitely taking two steps back here. First having 3 of the first 4 first legs played with Football grid lines and now this. Such a shame.
