No hope for Vesely at all. He is just a run, jump and dunk athlete that will only be useful in a energy big role off the bench. He is just salary filler.

Gay + Daye for carter + marion + brandon wright or

Gay + Ross for Varajao + Bennett + CJ miles + pick

FIRE casey

Trade Lowry to contender

Get into top 5 pick for next year:
Andrew Wiggins
Marcus smart or
Jabari Parker

Get Linol Hollions or SVG

Build from the bottom, enough of adding pieces to a poor foundation.

I like the concept but the salaries don't seem anywhere close, i'm guessing we'd have to either take on anderson or gordon's salary in this

Obviously after todays game changes need to be made with the 1st requiring no trade fire Casey.

Chicago has started as badly as Toronto and lack scoring with both Noah and Deng playing poorly.
So trade DD and Amir for 2014 Chicago 1st, 2016 Chicago 1st and Charlotte 1st top ten protected and also Boozer who Toronto will move as part of next trade.
NYKs are in a bad position as well with Chandler out 4 to 6 weeks.
Move Boozer, Lowry and Grey for Bargs, Felton, Shump and 2018th 1st.

Toronto gets much worst
PG Felton, DJ and Buycks
SG Shump, Ross and Stone
SF Gay, Fields and Novak
PF Hansbrough, Acy and Daye
C Val plus who ever we can get to back-up

Reasons Gay isn't going to opt out so Bargs, Fields and Gay expire together 40 million in expirings
1st Chicago 2014 & 16, Charlotte 2014 top ten protected and NYKs 2018th 1st.

I know getting Bargs back would be unpopular but works for tank.

Not really. That Portland pick is top 12 protected. So even if it does end u being conveyed this year, it's a late lotto pick at best but realistically will probably be somewhere between 14-17. A mid first round pick for Gay is pretty fair. There have been worse players traded for that.

The Lakers deal is terrible for us. We move an expiring PG for the 2years/$24million left of Nash's deal all for the 20th-22nd pick in the draft? No thanks. There will be better deals for Lowry than that.

OKC is not trading their starting C for a super sub SG. With the assets they have left, it's all but guaranteed they will make a deal for a C. Not sure why a Varejao deal hasn't happened yet. And they let the Wizards beat them to Gortat.

Ok guys, we need to dismantle our team and somehow get Rubio here. We can build from there. I cannot watch Lowry play with Gay and Derozan any longer. Rubio here would be magic and would make full use of Val.

I'll try to be as realistic as possible here:

DeMar DeRozan, Steve Novak & DJ Augustin

for

Loul Deng (expiring) & Marcus Teague

then trade

Rudy Gay

for

Charlie Villanueva & Rodney Stuckey (expiring) + 2nd round pick

This would set us up great for the tank & gives us plenty of flexibility going into next year.

Rubio is going to be hard to get, but we need a pick and roll guard that will actually pass the ball.

Lowry + Gay + Fields for Rondo + Gerald Wallace + Jeff Green. Celtics free up cap-space and are able to rebuild (Especially if Gay opts out) and the Raptors acquire an excellent pick and roll guard at the price of taking on an additional 5-10 Million over 3 years. I'm pretty sure Ainge is attempting to trade one of Wallace and Green too.

Rondo/Augustine
Demar/Ross
Gerald Wallace/Green
Amir/Green/Hansbrough
Val/Gray

Love the first idea. Maybe Jordan would put on the pressure to be a "competitive" team once the Hornets name returns.

Second - Lakers have nothing to trade

Third - OKC wants nothing to do with Demar. Amir for Perkins and those two picks though - thats probably a lot more tempting.

Return to Toronto Raptors
