If we take on either Bargnani's contract, will we still be able to afford to extend Moose? I would consider doing the deal in the OP, I'm quite high on Shump.

Well Bargs would essentialy be our 2014 FA cap space and Monroe would get us over the cap moving towards the tax which Shumpert would get us close to/over in 2015.

Cap wise it would look like the team would need to make another trade as Bynum/KCP/Dantome/THJR would be out of the rotation after the trade and Billups/Singler are 10mpg players.

3 guard rotation and a 3 big rotation would squeeze Smoove and you would see him on the 3pt line 10 more mpg. I could see this trade being the 1st step to moving Josh and giving SF to a role player and not the star. No doubt the offense would improve with Billups/Bargs with the 2nd unit and Singler as a starter but would the team be better?

Its not my money. We'd be right on the cusp of the lt.

Not that there is an official list, but Andrea is part of my "dear god, don't let the Pistons trade for (fill name here)" list. A 7 footer who doesn't rebound, doesn't play defense, and plays more like a SF...why does that sound familiar?

I like Shumpert for the Pistons, knicks aren't trading him to clear cap space.

Screw Bargs. One of the softest players I have ever seen. In his former life, he was a pillow.

This is a good time though to salary dump, and I would love to land a SG on the cheap. I hope Joe waits, and sees what happens.

The thought of going insane big though, has crossed my mind. I am not a fan of Mello either, but can you imagine a SG with his size? It wouldn't be that much of a problem, because of our massive front-court which protects the rim.

Hell, I wonder if GiGi could play the 2?

Trade doesn't really work for either sides. I like adding Shumpert though. CV, Jerebko, Mitchel, and Singler for Sumpert and Bargs?
