Thanks for starting this. He's gotta be the worst "point guard" in the league.

He's Yi bad.

I could slowly dribble the ball up the court, fire a 25 foot pass to a wing with 11 seconds left on the clock, then slowly jog around going nowhere (kind of like a player in the old electric football game that gets its tabs all crooked)

And I'd do it for meal money.

Maynor is such a non entity, I'm just going to refer to him as " " from now on.

Meh...that doesn't mean he's been any good this season. He makes the extra pass because he can't shoot, so he gets some easy assists there. All in all, he's a very unimpressive player, and a piss poor defender to boot. Carter Williams scored 7 straight points on Maynor in easy fashion. Price wouldn't have gotten bitched like that.

Statistically, Robinson and Collison are having worse seasons. Maynor looks solid according to PER (says its 23.6 through 3 games) but guess it doesn't show how bad he's been defensively. http://espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/i ... ric-maynor

But yeah, too small of a sample size to draw any real conclusions.

At the last home game, he was hot garbage. You can tell when he is playing on TV because you look for the player that looks lost. He sucks.

If Wall gets injured, we are screwed. We'll get taken to the woodshed out back with no Vaseline.

Not that he's any good, I just don't think he deserves this thread just yet. As a guard defensively, he hasnt played any worse than Wall or Beal and offensively he's been rather "ok" in his limited minutes, which is why his per is what it is after only 4 games. So while I understand that 99% of the board hated the signing, I don't get the rush to say he's ben "incomprehensibly sucky".

No, not after only 4 games on a new team and he has given you..

12 min, 3 assists, 0 turnovers and 4 pts on .438 FG% on 7-16 FGA and 3-4 from 3 .750 which is 1 attempt per game.

7 shot attempts in the Philly game was more then he should be take unless he has it going and they are leaving him open. But that was just one game. The other 3 games he shot 3 or 4 times which is where he should be.

But everyone else got their shoot attempts up. Not sure who would have gotten those extra 3 or 4 shots. One more each for Webster and Trevor A maybe.

Maynor's actually been pretty good so far this season. I don't think it'll continue, but he hasn't been incomprehensibly sucky.

His numbers right now are actually pretty strong. Not holding my breath for this to continue but so far he has been fine.

Maynor is doing essentially what he was brought here to do...play limited minutes, run the offense, make smart passes and don't turn the ball over...and right now he's doing those things pretty well.
