Idk where you geniuses get this bull from where a guy, whose usage % is high, and is the unquestioned go to guy, will apparently somehow not demand the ball because a few fans have a Paul George fetish.

I mean honestly dude.

If you don't know anything about the Pacers, why make a post about them? Clearly ignorant on this subject.

..not sure if serious or..

You do realize that there is only one ball on the court right? I mean to blindly assume PG's numbers or usage will be at the same level is silly. This isn't a role player coming back, this is a dude who will play 30 min per game minimum, demanding that ball and plays bein run for him.

By your logic, I wonder if you thought both lebron and wade would averaged 29ppg? Jeeze. This should be common sense..

 are you serious? Granger won't be playing 30 minutes a game under any circumstances. He will be coming back as a role player and he understands that. No one on this team has an ego, that's why guys like Augustin weren't resigned and Green was shipped away. Granger will likely be a spot shooter and has no problem taking a back seat.

G-Menn, it's 2013 going on to 2014. This is George's team now. Granger is a 4th option at best.

2011 is in the past.

Welcome, to the future.

Here's some recent quotes from Granger on the situation:

“This is the last year of my deal. When you say ‘face of the franchise,’ Paul got the contract but I think we’ve got three faces, honestly. Roy, Paul and David – mainly Roy and Paul are really the faces,” Granger said. “Our team’s not built like we’ve got a superstar who’s going to score 25 points per game. That’s not going to be our team ever. Not with the talent that we have.”

“We’re five to seven strong, pass to the man for the open shot, play out of post,” Granger described. “Paul’s probably the most talented and will be here the longest … so yeah, from that aspect but as far the (other) aspect, multiple guys can take ownership of this team.”

When asked directly why he left himself out, Granger answered: ”We older. I’m 30. (David’s) 33, ya know what I’m saying?”

Wonder if Lebron is gonna get his groove back quick enough to be frontrunner in MVP race again.

At the moment it is CP3 for his absurd numbers in the first week. Plenty of time left.

The hate for paul george is real huh?...the kid is 23 and can go toe to toe with lebron james in his prime...

And please stop speakin on a collective team effort when lebron has 2 players on his team tht can average 20 a game with ease...I dont even see how he get the mvp...

Its a wild swing for mvp this yr...il go with paul george as mvp and dpoty candidate...
If ant davis make it to the 2nd rd he can flirt with it as well

Now the obvious choices of paul, durant, rose, lebron, love are decent but
Love is supremely under appreciated in this league
Paul always passes too much in the playoffs
Rose migh get it once he comes to himself starting nxt week
Durant needs to be more assertive
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

LBJ will more than likely win it again. I expect Paul George to drop off a little bit while still having a great season, but he won't keep the scoring up this high. CP3 will come down a bit and I don't see Durant doing enough to win it. His best shot was last season. LBJ looks even better this year and I honestly believe he may shoot 60 percent from the field this season which would be unreal and lock up the MVP with ease.

...you've got to be kidding.
Last time granger PLAYED, he was the go to guy. I mean heck even in the preseason he was chucking shots.

Lol we shall see next month :)

All I'm saying is that once Granger comes back, PG's usage, along with production, in terms of scoring will go down.
I mean how hard is this for someone to comprehend or understand? Seems logical to me.

Happens to every player.. Just look at the heat for example, wade and bron went from 28-30 a game, to 26 and 21.

There is only one ball you know? Unless this is space jam, then nvm.

CP's been amazing thus far. From what I've seen he looks more like 2008 CP again. He's taking initiative and for whatever reason he seems more agile and confident going to the rim.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Or you could admit you're wrong and have no clue about the Pacers. People said the same thing when the Pacers drafted George, completely ignoring the fact that Granger told Bird to draft him.

There are 2 options for the Pacers when Danny gets back:

1. Start him in place of Lance

2. Use him as a bench scorer

If he's starting in place of Lance, he's taking Lance's shots. If he's on the bench, then he's the lead bench scorer.

Even if Granger doesn't play a minute this season, George's shot rate will go down. We saw it last night because West and Scola had good games and George didn't need to shoulder the load (also tough going against Deng). The team is built on the idea that they have 5-7 guys who can score if needed, but George's usage will not go down. He is the team's primary ball handler and plays a bit of a point forward.

The idea that Granger will take shots away from George is absurd. George is the better player by far at this point and will get his no matter what. Granger knows this. You seriously think a guy who truly cares about winning and just watched his team come within one win of the finals without him will demand that his best friend give him shots? Granger's not going one on one with guys like this is 2010.

Um wrong? Lebron had something like 29/6/8 on 51% shooting while George had 19/6/4 on 47% shooting (numbers might be slightly off, someone else can check).

even through only the 1st six games, it was still 28/7/5.5 on 51% vs 22/6/5 on 50%. Better but still not "toe to toe". And then of course game 7 was an obliteration, 32/8/4 vs 7/7/4
