At Center?

sure. why not? he is averaging 8.6 rpg this year and 5.8 for his career which is better than bargnani. gives the same amount of blocks as bargnani for career as well.

Once Raps realize they need to tank another year, we should offer them Amare for Gay and Fields. Ujiri will probably ask for more and we'll do it, too.

well he should. because that deal doesn't accomplish anything for toronto. it doesn't save them money. it doesn't give them any assets. they might as well lose those games with younger players who can dress up. and they are. it is not like gay or fields are helping them win any games.

1) It saves Toronto $2,459,039 this year and $2,156,338 next year. For a team that is less than 800k away from paying the luxury tax, that is a lot of money.

2) Rudy Gay is playing 34.4 mpg, Landry Fields 23.0 mpg. Terrence Ross is playing 16.7 mpg and Jonas Valanciunas is playing 24.0 mpg because their coach thinks they can win more games by playing small. Those two are eating up development minutes and not helping them win.

It is indeed some money, but they are not gonna pay the luxury tax this year and they are way under it next year. It is also easier for a team to trade away a smaller expiring contract than the larger one.

I would think Toronto would ask for more and rightfully so. I am not in favor of giving, but that would be the reality.

Now if Gay is still averaging 35 percent from the field and Toronto are way under .500 by trade deadline, we might get the deal done.

Someone else would offer at least usable expirings for a Gay/Fields combo. We would have to give up Shump. They could never sell Amare only to their fanbase and even ownership.

Just the thought of Melo and Gay on the same team on the same floor together makes me cringe inside.

As bad as it gets... just prior to any trade being announced I hope for it to be a good one.

Would the Bulls trade Deng, Bobcats pick, Tony Snell and the Eruo Dude for Melo?

Rose-Melo-Noah with Boozer and Jimmy Butler is pretty scary.

Of course they would. Why would we? Btw, that pick is protected 1-10 this year and 1-8 next season. it's not that great.

it's early in the season and your roster is thin in the frontcourt.

wallace is not happy in boston, wants to contend and humphries is not getting minutes in favor of our rookie bigs and sully. Bass is a head of him too.

In NY that would change, both would help NY maintain a better seed until chandler is backm and you can't count on Stat.

Plus Boston saves a year from wallace contract,NY gets more flexibility next year.

I understand that it would help us this year but I highly doubt that we would take on more 2015 money just to help us for a month this season.

I got a courier on the way to pick up the papers.

I see my team giving Amare another contract exactly what Wallace make now...dont want the temptation anywhere around.

i actually think this is a win for the knicks if it went down.

i just hate having someone that doesn't want to be in Boston, and I dont think humphries likes boston as well.
Both played in BKN last year so they'd probably thrive from going back to NY.

NY could probably sweeten the deal with a pick.

We can't offer a pick for a while.

And since it's terrible for terrible, no need to sweeten up this one, but I'm sure we would hand over at least two if we had them.
