And this is where Ferrell demonstrates his managerial superiority to Cito, who told Molitor to hit only .500 in the 1993 Series. The soft reverse bigotry of low expectations (Molitor being "only" a white guy.)

Interesting note about the 1993 series. We remember Molitor won the series MVP for his batting average. His OPS was .911. Ricky Henderson's was .906. Robby's was .900. They all had 27 plate appearances.

But John Olerud's OPS was 1.072 in 21 PAs. If the MVP voters at the time had considered OPS, would they have voted differently? Of course, he played the cold corner, while Molitor was at third.
