Yes, I realize this post is highly ironical.

You guys hear about Jeremy Lin getting scapegoated last night?

Man, he'd be a great backup point guard for us. His contract is just too big.

Yeah heard about Lin. I'm glad we don't have Howard. Houston is talented but who is going to reign this guys in? McHale? A bad losing streak and I could see things implode.

Harden's scouting report has been "can't be a leader" since he was in high school -- this is no surprise, the guy has the talent of a #1 option but not the mentality. OKC was the perfect situation for him -- he was just childish last night to Lin.

What happened? Was it about the last shot, because that was a great screen set by Gasol...I'm going purely off of my recollection from last night...only saw it live so I could be wrong.....as I often am.

His contract will be over in 2 years and he'll be a free agent. I don't see him staying in Houston. He'll be traded or walk when his contract is up.

During the off-season free agency after he ended his Knicks contract and before he went to Houston, he was touring Asia with David Lee and wearing the throwback jersey of the hometown team he rooted for as a kid growing up.

He's still got fans in the Bay Area from when he won the California state championship for Palo Alto.

I don't know if he'll end up back with the Dubs, but he lives with his mom and dad in his childhood home in the Bay Area during the off-season, instead of in his place in Houston.

On the first post in the thread I linked to, it shows a gif of the last shot. Steve Blake got open because Jeremy Lin couldn't catch up to him, but the reason why Lin couldn't get there was because Nash was holding on to him.

Lin actually had a great game, though.

Patrick Beverly shot 1/10 and only scored 3 points in 34 minutes. Horrible.

Dwight Howard and James Harden are getting mad at Lin for the less when A) Dwight couldn't even make those free throws when they exposed him with Hack-A-Dwight and B) James Harden doesn't even follow through with the plays most of the time and doesn't play D.

Also, Harden got mad at Lin for chucking up a shot at one point, when Harden was the one who wasn't rotating on the play and was just standing in one spot not trying to get open. They passed the ball to Lin with 2 seconds left in the shot clock so he had to throw it up.

Furthermore, Chandler Parsons made a dumb play towards the end of the game in the bonus where he inbounded the ball to Dwight Howard who immediately got fouled by Pau Gasol. Why would you pass the ball to the worst free throw shooter on the floor?

The entire team in general is at fault for that loss, not Lin. Dwight and Harden just keep using him as a scapegoat.

Thanks....I think lin fits the type of personality that our team is currently running with....High character along with skill. For the most part the guys seem to be that way...very unselfish on the surface.

Lin would be an awesome backup pg to Steph, but the contract is a killer. He would fit nicely though.

Harden was ignoring Lin the entire 4th and not passing to him when he was wide open. He also ignored Lin when he was calling a play.

A Davis' highlight package against the Lakers today is just down right scary.

It's funny so many teams have chosen to use big lineups at the start of this year and they haven't worked out at all. Hou, Mia, Brooklyn, DET ... i'm sure there are others.

Shaping up to be a pretty good off night for the Dubs. Rockets lost, Grizz lost, one of Phoenix or Portland will lose, and OKC is leading LAC by 10 points (as halftime approaches). I'd rather LAC loses, but either losing is good for the Dubs, and one must. Whatever happens, let's hope LAC gives OKC a tough game because we face them tomorrow. Fingers crossed for triple OT.

After watching some of the Knicks/Rockets game, I am happy Dwight Howard is not a Warrior. He would haven't have fit in offensively. Granted, he' doesn't seem all the way back to his Orlando days, but maybe he'll never be. $20M/yr is for a two-way player. Howard is not. He wouldn't have been worth it. And then we'd have to hear him whining. Much better having Iguodala + Bogut for a few million dollars per year more than Howard.

Bargnani owned him last night.

I just flat out deleted the petty bickering posts. If I have to do it again I'm just going give some days off to people. Keep it about basketball and not about your fellow forum members. -floppy

We're the only team in the league currently rated in the top 6 in both the ORTG and DRTG. We're also one of the top 6 in pace.
