I don't see how it's the same at all. I'm pretty sure there are more than a few switcher-uppers that had the Wizards going 0-82 for the season in that thread. This is the Washington Wizards Playoffs Thread because I believe, no scratch that, I know the Wizards will be in the playoffs this season. This isn't a guess the record thread, it allows for discussion about the Wizards when they're officially in it.

Reminds me of this screengrab I took many years ago ...

That's funny...you can see it's a different team from past seasons though. I think everyone's really bought in to the 'playoffs or bust' motto they've adopted this season. The team looks a lot better from the first two games of the season and Wall really seems to understand how much his play greatly influences the team's effort as a whole.
Not just saying this merely as a fan, this season's team plays and looks like a squad primed to beat up on other teams on a consistent basis.

Re: 2013-2014 Washington Wizards Playoffs Thread.
the east is a jumbled up mess. IND has 0 losses.
After that everyone has at least 3 and we have 4.
I like our chances. Just have to stay healthy since
we have no margin for problems of that nature.

Early season standings are funny. Wizards are currently tied for last in the East, but they're just a half game out of 8th and 1.5 games out first in the division.

First Ten:

Loss
Projected:
7. Loss
8. Loss
9. Win
10. Win
First 10: 4-6
----------------------
11. Loss @ Clev 4-7
12. Loss @ Tor (toss up) 4-8
13. Loss vs NY (back to back) 4-9
14. Win vs LA 5-9
15. Loss @ Mil (back to back) 5-10
16. Loss @ Indy 5-11
17. Win vs Atl 6-11
18. Win vs Orl 7-11
19. Win vs Mil 8-11
20. Win vs Den 9-11
That's what I think is a reasonable projection:
Probably put the ceiling at: 12-8 after 20
Probably put the floor at: 7-13 after 20
Just looking at the first 20, feels like a ceiling of 45-37, an expectation of 39-43 and where our floor is probably 28-54 if injuries were to hit a specific player or two.

Re: 2013-2014 Washington Wizards Playoffs Thread.
^ Nah, I'm not buying that the team we saw last night in OKC loses 3 in a row to CLE/TOR/NYK. Maybe they also wouldn't win 4 in a row as you also predict, but I'm seeing better than 5-5 in games 11-20. If they are .500 after 20 and look to be hitting their stride, then I think everyone that predicted playoffs for this team should feel good about their prediction.

Re: 2013-2014 Washington Wizards Playoffs Thread.
That's fine, I tend to always give the back to back to the team that doesn't have one unless the team with it is clearly elite (a 55+ game winner), since that's not the case here, I think it's reasonable to expect a loss to the knicks, not sure about the Toronto game, Can't tell what they are yet, so I gave it to them because its there, and they look pretty good at home. We could easily win that though.
This team is far too hard to predict right now, at its worst, it's a 25-30 win team, at its best it looks capable of 45-50. Have no idea what that means in the long form. Time will tell, for now, I split the difference and imagine something between 36-42 wins on the year and W-L patterns analogous to that until the injury bug plays out and we see who avoids it and who doesn't.
