I haven't seen enough of the Rockets to know whether this is true or not, nor do I know enough of the specifics of this to know whether it is bullying or not, but if LIn is being dumped on for being 'the problem' than I can safely say that the Rockets are going to under perform like mad this year.

Chemistry is crucial in any team, especially a basketball team that relies on seven or eight guys to make the difference. Basketball is a team game from the tip-off to the final whistle, any unit that seeks scapegoats is not operating as a team.

Can't deny that a story about Lin being bullied, scapegoated or however its characterized has some racial undertones. It's an interesting topic. Deal with it.

Whatever you define as bullying, irrelevant.

We're just talking about a good player on a team getting blasted for the shortcomings and inappropriate actions of his higher profile teammates.

How would you feel if you were doing the right things only to have your coach and star players berating YOU for THEIR mistakes.

I'm not a Lin fan, nor am I an Asian, but I did have a visceral reaction to this story. Harden and Howard came off like two entitled jerks. Both messed up, both pout, neither gave a good effort. Then they turn around and blame Lin, who worked hard, and played well.

Howard and Harden are basically the hot mean girls who torment the cute nerdy girl, because of their own insecurities.

Not sure I'd call a guy who went to Harvard an 'Underdog' no matter what his race...
Plus he's already gotten paid and all sorts of press. He's one of the most marketable players in the NBA...

Frankly, I'm not sure there are too many players in the NBA even as successful as Jeremy Lin. Not an underdog.

To me, the only interesting part of the story is that Harden and Howard seem to be the ones 'bullying' him... Howard is in constant search for a scape-goat and I think Harden is learning the nuances of scape-goating from him.

this all stems from "aau culture." these guys have such a sense of entitlement about themselves. its sad and embarrassing.

Dwight is on some ridiculous quest of trying to become the biggest "ass" in the league...I still considered my self in some small fraction a fan of his coming into this season and thought this might be a new, fresh start for his attitude but he really seems to be an ass by nature....

Nope. I just really admire the kid's perseverance, work ethic, and humility. I also think there's been a huge and unfair backlash against him out of resentment for his success. People are STILL calling him a d-leaguer on our board. It's ridiculous.

Also it drives me nuts to see a guy who was clearly in the wrong blaming others to escape responsibility. If you've ever played ball you basically want to punch that guy in the face.
