That's it!!!

Post#1 » by HEATVols865 » Sun Nov 10, 2013 3:10 am

I was chalking these losses up to the guys being relaxed and on vacation mode but enough is enough.

We're barely above 500 and today to not blow out this horrible Celtics team, is beyond pathetic!
Losing on a desperation 3? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Can these guys grow a pair and realize no one will give them the third ring in a row if they are not willing to try...

Talk about coming out flat!

True but it still sucks being embarrassed by **** teams over and over they are 4-3.

Meanwhile the Pacers are 7-0 just annoying.

Every game is crucial (especially when the Pacers are running through every team in their way), but at the end of the day, it's still Week 2 of the NBA season. This team always has some sort of issue during the regular season (inconsistent defense, poor FT shooting, etc...), but they always manage to get it together eventually.

They'll be fine.

I'm not worried about the Playoffs, but we sure as hell ain't getting the number one seed this year. Pacers are taking their games very seriously whereas we do the opposite.

They're the only team that can beat us in the Playoffs. To be honest, if we don't win it all this time, I'd like to see them do it. Great team.

I'm not mad about the losses, but what worries me is the number 1 seed. People saying we don't need HCA. Give me a break, in a game 7 you WANT to be in your home court.

The Pacers since the beginning want DPoY, MVP, and 1st seed. They are gunning for this, while we're being idiots.

It's all not over yet, but the Pacers are actually trying every game unlike us (and have WAY better defense). These losses were by 1-3 points as well. It will come back to bite us in the ass imo if we don't go on a long winning streak right now.

In one of the hardest years to 3 peat, getting the 2nd seed isn't a good idea. Unless we make it to the Finals and we're higher than a West team. But still.

Dude basketball is a sport of ups and downs. Who the hell knows how the east will look by January. The bulls could be the number 1 seed by then. I don't know though, can people really use games played in November to predict the seeding.

It's early in the season but a few things that need to be called out. FT's and particularly Wade . For years he has been shaky from line. Rotation... Spo needs to but I know never will adjust. Either way the regular season is all about health and turning it up in the 2nd half of season

No way in hell Paul George wins MVP. He is mid tier super star like Melo. To be honest, there are only 2 legit superstar that can dominate a game day in and out. Lebron, Durant. And sometimes Wade on a good day. Which is rare, and clearly not today

But then again, if D-rose can win it, Why not George

We're easing into the season just like last year. The effort isn't there consistently on the defensive end, particularly against the bad teams--which is the reason we lost tonight, and why we lost against Philly. We thought we could just turn it on at the end, and that would be enough, but you mess around, and these joke teams will steal games from time to time.

It's not a big deal. This team knows how to manage itself in the regular season.

As for the Pacers, they're playing amazing right now...but it's Novemeber. And we saw what happened last year with the Knicks and their fast start. Peaking in November is not something you see the top top teams do. They all pace themselves and then make put it together for a few weeks after the all-star break, and seal up playoff positioning, and then shut down for the playoffs.

NBA is a marathon, not a sprint. These games matter, but they aren't THAAAT important.

Not even worried if the Pacers did get homecourt. I kind of like not having homecourt against the better teams, because we can steal one of the first two games and that puts all of the pressure on them. Seems like whenever we have homecourt we always just give it away anyways.

One legged DWade was a big reason why that series went 7. If Dwade is healthy, the Pacers can't guard him the way that they did.

I don't think people fully appreciate that we've won two of the last three titles and one of the one or two of the big three have been injured for both of those runs. Including in Bosh's case missing games completely.

The Pacers have for sure gotten better. But two time defending champion counts for something

It's always some excuse. We were supposed to wash Indiana in the ECF last year because the year before it only went 6 games because of no Bosh. Now we only went 7 games with them last year because Wade was on one leg. And next year it will be "well we only lost because..".

Defense and rebounding -- we don't have much of either. We've given up a to. Of uncontested jumpers and have no rim protection to speak of. In addition, our transition defense has been a joke. I think we've been outs ores in transition 5 of the 7 games, but then again, how can we get out in transition when we can't pull down rebounds? Right now, our offensive efficiency is very good sans turnovers. If our rebounding were even 20th in the league and our defense around 15th, we'd be on pace for a record season.

As it is, we have lost two games we should have won. Last year, early on, we won games we should have lost.

Lastly, LBJ is giving away too many possession and not getting any back for us. His TO rate is at a career high, his steal% and OReb% are at career lows -- had his turnovers, steals, and ORebs been at career averages, his PER would be around 30, his WS/48 at .300+, and the team would likely be 6-1. Now, obviously, others have to step and rebound and defend for us to be better and the losses are not on him, but still, James has to clean this up. If he turns the ball over at his usual rate and his steal% is what it has been over his career, we're 6-1.
