Plum dawg Millionaire
With Miles Plumlee's surprising performance so far this season, how do you think he plays into the Suns future? If he continues to improve and stay consistent, is he our guy at the 5 for years to come? Curious to know everyone's opinion.

Right....I have been thinking the same thing. If Len doesn't get healthy and off of the bench his future could be in trouble with Plumlee playing how he is. See Lopez V Gortat.

I'm just so surprised with how skilled and athletic he is. He's a much better fit alongside Bled and Dragic than Len

Dude is a stud and would love to keep him around for a reasonable contract. The ideal situation is if Len develops and the two could mold together, I think Plum could be even more effective as a PF
I like Draft Picks/Cap Space, long walks on the beach, and short youtube clips.

That's what I was thinking. If we go with Wiggins/Parker over Randle, I'd love to have a Plumlee/Len duo in place.

Re: Plum dawg Millionaire
Seems like he has all the fundamentals. He said Tim Duncan was his favorite player right?
It really shows if so.
I could see him as our starting center for a really long time (or PF). And I would be very happy with that.
He has already shown that he is better than Gortat.
Also Steve Albert seems to really like the Plum dawg nickname

You came to this conclusion after seeing Len playing 2 games on sore ankles?

Re: Plum dawg Millionaire
As much as I have wanted to call Plumlee a stiff since he joined the Suns, that was based more on his dismal performance with Duke.
He is showing more intelligent play with us than he ever did for the Blue Devils, and the same goes for his athleticism and hustle.
I think he plays a part in the Suns' future for sure. I'd like to see a center tandem with Plumlee and Len, if they can prove capable of competing against top NBA bigs up the road. Plumlee has gone from being a bench warmer to at least a mid-tier NBA big man, which is a huge leap - especially when you consider he was never anything special in college. It's interesting to follow the players who blossom later into their careers.

Re: Plum dawg Millionaire
Another monkey wrench is Kief playing so well. People are talking about Plumlee or Len becoming a PF and playing together, but Kieff is looking solid at the four. If he keeps this up we would need to focus more on the 3 spot. With Plumlee, Kief and Len at the 4 and five. I am hoping/assuming Goodwin becomes the stud 2.
i agree with the post of Plumlee appearing to be a better fit (as of now) with Bledsoe and Co. He is soooo uber athletic and Kief is an outside-in player, keeping the spacing well, plus Kief looks good getting fed in the post.
I'm soooo confused. It is a good problem to have

I agree. The nickname needs to be stopped right away. It's terrible.

Re: Plum dawg Millionaire
Nickname is horrible. In fact, any nickname that takes more effort to say than someone's actual name needs to be killed off and buried right along with the "first name, first syllable of last name", "initials + jersey number" nicknames.
As for his future, it's only 6 games. Let him do it for an entire season. Right now he looks good. Damn good.

Eddie Johnson likes Plumdog...
I like the effort Plumleee is showing out there, Markieff too. Plumlee isn't very skilled though, IMO, but he has the right mindset to continue to improve and his athleticism is definitely a plus too.

Hahaha, the best part of the nickname was that it came from a drunken night out here in little old Adelaide. Nevetsov was the architect who tweeted it to Liander and it seems to have caught on somewhat. Lol.

Re: Plum dawg Millionaire
Plumlee is awesome out there. What's surprised apart from his offensive repertoire is his offensive awareness. He isn't stuck on on a single mindset of getting the rebound and going straight back up not matter whether the defense is ready or not. He reads what the defense gives him and unlike a lot of big men, if the opportunity is there, he makes his move quick. Too many big men take their time to analyze the situation and then slowly start to get into the rhythm of their moves. If the shot isn't there, he uses his post moves to get a better one or just passes it out but he makes he decisions fast and that keeps our offensive flow going.
For a big man, he takes very few bad shots.
