Kirilenko is gone, they don't necessarily have a "rim protector", but Minnesota is currently the 6th best defense in the league. Sample sizes are still working themselves out, but remember this is a team where none of the rotations players even averages 1 BPG (Cunningham leads per minute with 1.3).
Rubio is a high impact defensive player, let's see how their defense continues to progress. He struggles on offense, and right now really they have Martin and Love playing GREAT on offense and then a lot of guys playing below average or bad.
Kevin Martin was always liked by Adelman, so it isn't surprising to see him producing on Minnesota.
