GT: Spurs vs. Knicks

Post#1 » by Nolan » Sun Nov 10, 2013 12:27 am

When: 12:00 PM ET, November 10, 2013
Where: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY

We're coming off our best defensive performance of year to face a struggling but talented Knicks team.

The Knicks are without Tyson Chandler so the game plan should be to get the ball into the paint and take advantage of Andrea Bargnani.

Go Spurs!!

Good D or bad O from both sides? I think if Steph Curry were playing our D would've looked a lot worse.

Love games at MSG. No Chandler which is good for us.

It was a mix of both but it was the defensive performance we've had so far.

Also I can't wait to see Duncan torch Bargs on the block.

I guess, but I thought our D vs Memphis on opening night was pretty good. Either way, it's nowhere near what it needs to be if we expect to get back to the Finals.

I don't think anyone is playing defense exceptionally well yet, except for Indiana. Overall we aren't playing very well at the moment either. If it continues into December I might get concerned.

I think we should pick apart an undisciplined team like the Knicks today, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we lost by 30. These weird start times can make strange things happen.

Double post!

Belinelli in the starting lineup. Didn't see that coming. Green 2-2 from 3. Nice start soo far.

Why isn't Kawhi starting today?

Announcers haven't really said. I'm guessing it was for matchup purposes though.

Danny Green has 8 rebounds already, WTF?

great games by Green and Leonard. Happy to see Green get going! And Leonard didn't miss a beat while coming off the bench

Boring game. I liked our D overall, and especially Diaw on Melo. He had to work for everything he got.

Weird Kawhi coming off the bench behind Beli.

Larry David sighting!

Great game from Green.

Hate the Knicks orange jerseys, they're too bright. They play with no hustle, no energy, no effort. They work kind of hard for a few possessions here and there, but it's not consistent.

Gotta say the Knicks suck.

I can forgive their defense with Tyson Chandler not being there, but they're a really bad offensive team.

What is this offense? Melo Iso. Bargnani Iso. Jr Smith forcing up shots. Did I miss anything else? It's a team that has no structure offensively whatsoever. It's just guys taking turns going isolations and trying to make stuff happen themselves.

The only guy I thought was giving effort on that Knicks team both offensively (by not being a ballhog) and bust his tail on the defensive end is Ron Artest.

Not much to take away from this game. Knicks defense is beyond awful and we picked them apart. Kinda glad that we're making our 3 pointers and long jumpers too. When we make those, we're tough to beat.

Splitter is so so productive coming off the bench and he's getting easier looks when he's out there with Manu.

Jeff Ayres just needs to stop shooting the ball already. The scouting report that says Jeff has a solid midrange shot is just plain wrong. His shots are rather flat and often short.

Happy to see Green get going again. This game was just never close, we played well and the Knicks looked hung over.

Also i'm really liking Splitter off the bench.
