Lin sucks. The only way I would even consider accepting him is if HOU sends a 2014 first round pick our way

but dude your name is a combination of linsantiy and raptors...rapsanity...according to your name it is a natural fit that he would play here and dominate. In fact I'm convinced it will happen in due time.

Raptors trade Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry, receive Jeremy Lin, Caron Butler, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Donatas Motiejunas.

Bucks trade Ersan Ilyasova, Caron Butler, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luke Ridnour. They receive Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry.

Rockets trade Jeremy Lin and Donatas Motiejunas. Rockets receive Ersan Ilyasova and Luke Ridnour.

Its hilarious so many of you would want Caron Butler to be on our team, after what he did to JV last year

Lin isn't even the best PG on his team... Patrick Beverley is the player you want

that would be hilarious for them to trade back for Lowry, but it's not the first time that's ever happened in the NBA I'm sure.

Lowry + Novak's salary for Lin + 1st round pick + two 2nd rounders

I disagree. First it's just 2 years, secondly 8.4 mil is not that bad. Same money as Jennings, Mayo, Teague got this summer. Lowry likely takes 8 mil to resign. Is Lin really worse than Lowry, Jennings and Teague?

As a player he may have been worth 5-6 last year. But add in youth and potential to improve and paying 8 for Lin is not a killer, especially if we expect to tank

He's definitely worse than Teague

Yeah, Lin would be hated just like Calderon....think about it....he is basically Gay and Calderon put together. That might equate to more hate than Bargnani got.

Houston might be benching him so struggling teams are willing to trade for him so they can get a salary dump for next year.

This is a common misconception. The contract is spread out for 8.3 mil each year of his contract. It only would have been 5/5/15 if NY matched.

The cap hit is 8.3 annually, but Lin is getting 5/5/15.

lin isn't a d-leaguer but he isn't a starter either. very good sixth man player/backup pg for most teams though. if he can put up 14 and 5 off the bench, he'll be a sixth man of the year candidate.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either

C'mon he's a starter, there are pg's like Felton starting in this league. The only reason he isn't starting on the rockets is because he's redundant to Harden.

Nope.

/thread

EDIT: All you Lin fans need to get over the fact that he's overrated and just because he had a good performance against a brutal Raptors team doesn't mean he's the answer.

heck no. We really need to draft Marcus Smart. I think he's the type of player that can lead this team.

last year was basically his first full year in the league coming off of a leg injury. he consistently gets to the basket and can find the open man. he's a very good pg.
