I dont think Portland or Detroit will be bad enough to get high picks in the 2015 draft, Detroit is a playoff team and Portland could use a little more depth but they could make playoffs

Yeah next year I believe both teams definitely make the playoffs or end up the same in a weaker draft.

Pistons now at 2-4
Portland is 5-2

That's about as best you can hope for at this point if you want to get both picks in this years draft.

i think the Pistons are having spacing issues like we are. They play GSW tomorrow night. Could be a rough start for them.

I'm not sure what to think of the Pistons. I think I would have to trade Monroe, however I would have rather started Monroe/Drummond and not paid Smith all that money. The league has a serious shortage of good 2-way SG/SF men right now.

I don't care much now, what happens happens, we have no control over it.

The thing is if Pistons are bad they will be as bad next year as there is not much room to get better, if they re-sign Monroe. In 2015 there would be chance in lottery to get second or third pick if they fail to make play offs. Either way a good piece to have.

poor Pistons fans. team would look so much better with Datome & Singler at SF stretching the floor. instead they give Josh Smith $13 mln/4yrs. ouch.

They should just bring Drummond off the bench until they can find someone to trade Monroe to.

They're in perfect position to land us the 9th or 10th pick next year. We shouldn't complain much.

Yep. I love watching them lose.

If nothing else, the Pistons are consistent.

8th pick: KCP
9th pick: Drummond
8th pick: Knight
7th pick: Monroe

Best case of course is 9th, so hopefully they keep it up.

Yeah they look legit. I think we get three top 20 picks this year.

Don't put that voodoo on us! I don't want to lose a crack at Wiggins/Parker/Randle/Exum just for the honor of getting swept by Miami in the first round.

Exactly. I'm not sure why some are wanting to make the playoffs this season. Be bad for 1 more season and we can add a piece that makes us a contender for a decade.

Sorry, not everyone actually wants their team to lose.

We can build ourselves into a contender developing our current roster and with our massive cap space next season. Either way I doubt we make the playoffs so its kind of moot point.

Exactly. I'm fine either way. If we make playoffs cool. If we lose then cool. 3 lottery picks. If we win, we win. If we lose, we win too.
