Me too, though it more has to do with the fans and then Prok, who I don't mind as an owner (I admire a guy willing to really go for it if he has the means). I was into the Nets as a new rival for Miami but then a few of their fans were insufferable after their home opener, especially after I said I wasn't impressed by their play despite their win. Lol feeling good about that right about now

Blame the ownership and management for hiring J Kidd in the first place. Why would you take a group of established veterans and put a first year coach, someone who hasn't even taken his time coming up through the assistant ranks, directly in charge of them? I don't see how this was going to end well, and now if they fire him, it will tarnish his legacy with the Nets.

Deron Williams is really disappointing me. Its amazed me how much he's declined since 2010. He's not even old he's 29. Thorton torched him tonight, and his defense was pathetic. '

And as much as it pains me to say this Kevin Garnett looks like he has nothing left in the tank. His passion, leadership, IQ are still there, but physically he looks like he has nothing left. I'll miss him :(

Also Kidd can't coach. He looks like a lost puppy out there who's watching the game on T.V. Nets messed up with that decision big time. THey needed a veteran coach who could get the best of out these guys.

They need to sign George Karl NOW to save their season

Johnson and Williams just aren't that good, and Pierce/KG are basically done. Like I said before the season, get past the face value of the names on the roster and they're really not all that good. They'll make the playoffs but I always felt the contender talk was ridiculous. Their defense is very subpar.

They need Lionel Hollins, George Karl likes to run and this roster isn't the team for that.

I think with Deron, it's the same case as last year. Duo to injury , we won't see the Deron of the second half of last season till All Star break or sooner.

So Deron needs to get back to All Star form. And the older heads to need stay healty till post season comes around.

It's time to stop the injury excuse. CP3 has dealt with an assortment of injuries and right now he's on the trajectory of repeating his 2008/2009 season. Deron will never be an elite PG considered in the same breath as other greats like Payton and Kidd, and this is coming from a huge Deron backer who thought he was only slightly behind CP3 until his play plummet after joining the Nets.

I'm a Net fan and I actually agree with this. I always kind of felt like Deron was an overrated PG, good, but overrated. He just doesn't have the consistency or presence of the better PG's in the league.

I agree. I thought with the media attention, the fact he's got a ton of full support and people looking to lead probably the deepest team the league has seen on paper in years would get him going, then he injuries himself...Okay understandable. Now, he's 100% healthy and he's still playing mediocre basketball. The talent is there. The winning mindset is not. Paul plays on drive, passion and competition not talent, Deron believes he can show up and let his talent do the talking. This team isn't going to any ECF appearance with him at the helm until he plays like an elite PG instead of his usual 5 month stretch which at this point looks unlikely. It's ashame considering Brooklyn fans have been nicer to him than Melo and if he was a Knick, he would have been booed by now.

This team in general right now is straight up coasting on the belief "they need to build chemistry and system understanding" so basically they all believe they can go on a 10 game win streak and erase this. It's disappointing the veterans actually believe they can show up against younger lesser teams and coast because they have a higher IQ level. Which right now, they do not.

So, everyone deserves the blame.

In order, the blame falls on:

Deron
J-Kidd
KG/Lopez
Others

Thankfully there's still time for us to turn it around.

Kidd is just like when Magic tried coaching. Net shouldve just splurged and got a more experience coach like Karl or Sloan.

j/k on the latter ;)
