I'm not sure but I don't like it & I'm tired of seeing missed alley oop opportunities because IT is not looking to pass it to Ben. I'm just glad Ben is such a humble kid and just keeps playing. If that was Demarcus I don't know that he would be too happy.

I agree. In one specific play, where he LOOK RIGHT AT A WIDE OPEN McLemore but decided to attempt a difficult shot instead lol That ish pisses me off.

That and his preference on passing the ball to Outlaw/Salmons over McLemore smh

I really like IT but some of the things he does is driving me nuts as a fan.

I don't know if I'm looking at this correctly since I have only been able to watch the recaps, but could one strategy be to get McLemore the ball on the 2nd or 3rd pass? I'd understand if IT is messing up by initially ignoring a wide-open Ben, but it seems like a good strategy is to first pass to Outlaw/Salmons, draw the defense to the ball, then move it to a wide-open McLemore. The trick is making sure that Outlaw/Salmons read the memo of this play.

If he's wide open, he's wide open, get him the damn ball. I think what number of pass it is in the possession is irrelevant.

edit: I do get what you're saying though, if the play is to run the offense to the other side and get the ball to mclemore coming of a weak side screen then that's what IT is suppose to do, but that hasn't been the case. I've seen him look off Mclemore multipe times, during fast breaks and both early and late into possessions.

Isaiah is a chucker who scores. He's small and does some electric things for his size so he is a fan favorite. I don't think BMac has done anything to deserve more ball, but I do see where he (and others) don't see McLemore as an option.

So... what position will Derrick Williams play on the Kings? Outlaw will probably start now so the Kings definitely need help at the SF (if dwill is playing PF).

I'd try him at SF, no matter if he doesn't play great there, he's better than whatever is left there, hahaha. I will not be too happy if they don't just say F it and start him though.

Exactly. IT's first instinct is to score. He's really a 2 guard.

IT's worth is a 6th man off the bench that can change the game once he enters the court. That alone, is very valuable. Plus, he is a fan favorite. I think he sticks around for a while imo.

I'm interested to see what IT's value on the free agency market is this summer. Two things will hurt him: his size and the fact that he plays combo G and there are a lot of good PG's and some pretty good SG's out there these days. But, he may end up as the 6th man of the year and if he ends up at that 18 ppg level at the end of the year some teams might come calling and be more than willing to pony up to salvage their summer. The Lakers would worry me a bit if I'm the Kings brass.

Wow.... looks like
Thomas/McCallum
McLemore/Thornton/Jimmer
Gay/Outlaw
Williams/{Landry}/Thompson/Acy
Cousins/Gray/Ndiaye

At least this trade allows McCallum to develop.

At this point I don't see how the Kings put Williams on the bench. Also Im not drinking the Gay at PF on defense koolaid (offense sure). How I see it

IT/Jimmer /Ray Mac
McLemore/ Thornton
Gay/Outlaw
Williams /Landry / Acy
Cousins /JT /Gray

Return to Sacramento Kings
