More Rocky would've meant less Cody, so I guess you can say that Clifford gave the fans what they wanted because I'm sure that would've been a topic of discussion of Zeller had less minutes than Adrien

Fair point.

If there's one thing I've notice about Clifford, he keeps a tight in-game rotation in hopes of garnering continuity & chemistry

yet he will leave a bench player in there for a longer period of time, if he has played well. that's something I like.

I'm almost upset I switched to the home feed. The Celtics broadcast sounds absolutely absurd. I would have loved it.

The Cats broadcast repeatedly runs this clip where Al says, "You can call me Al." Cracks me up. I'm amazed how well his personality fits the existing Cats crew.

This was gold. One of the highlights for me from last night. I have to admit to not being very familiar with Al’s game prior to his being Bobcatted. But I love it – he’s like the king of old-man ball. Zero waste of energy or effort. Cajoling and ribbing. As much non-movement as movement to throw off a defender. Throwing your blubber around.

The only player that he seem to have a short leash on is MKG though. I wonder what exactly is the reasoning, whether it is MKG's lack of shooting or occasional lapse in defense. I know some of you may look at this and be appalled by thought of Clifford taking MKG out of the game because of his defense, but I've seen plenty of times where Clifford have looked disgusted at MKG for reaching in and fouling instead of keeping his hands up, and one of Clifford's golden rules on defense is to avoid fouling a shooter

FUN FACT: Last night was the first time Al Jefferson defeated the Celtics, the team that drafted him, since being traded away in July of 2007 to Minnesota before being dealt to Utah previous to coming to Charlotte via free agency. Before last night's win, Jefferson was 0-11 vs his former team

Yeah, we really gave it to those mighty Celtics and superstar Jeff Green.

Eh, those might Celtics were on a 4-game winning streak before the Bobcats beat them in their own home withstanding bad officiating. Albeit a ugly win, Charlotte played harder than the opposition and that's something that you have to take

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying this isn't a win that should catapult us into playoff discussion. It's not like the Panthers beating the 49ers.

The officiating was terrible for both teams. We got away with a lot, they got away with a lot, just terribly inconsistent. The biggest reason we won is b/c Boston can only score in transition, and we're not a team you want to run with. Especially our 2nd unit with the Gazelle and Ramon running around. In the halfcourt, we actually had a guy in Jefferson to get us some buckets whereas they just had Jeff Green (not knocking Green, he just happens to play a position that pits him against our best defenders). If they didn't have to rely on Faverini and Olynyk (rookies) to score it wouldn't have been such a bad matchup for them b/c those guys are slow enough that Big Al can actually defend easily (and save energy). It would have been a little closer with Sullinger but I think we still would have won, no better than Olynyk and Co. shot.

I think part of the reason MKG gets yanked early is to save him for the last stretch in the game guarding the other team's best player. MKG doesn't help us much if he picks up cheap fouls all game but with some fouls to spare he can lock down his man properly in crunch time.

I wish somebody had the video of when Tommy Heinsohn was infuriated at the refs as if they missed a obvious foul call where they gave Biyombo a block. Heinsohn was like "look at it, it was a foul, slapped him all across the wrist, this is a disgusting display of officiating, bring that instant replay.....", and then *crickets* once they showed the replay that Biyombo had all ball  I got a good laugh out of that one

In Boston's announcers' defense, it's tough to see the action definitively from their broadcast position in the balcony:

I think MKG maybe Clifford's whipping boy. I saw how he singled out MKG after the Atlanta game. He said Gilcrist energy went down and the team's energy went down too. This is a lot to put on a 20 year old.
