Oh c'mon, we all slept on the guy. Nobody would have taken him #2 at the time.
Speaking of point guards, snagged a 21-year-old future all-star for, all right, probably a top 50 contributor this year. Should be a smoother transition from the Steve Nash era now with Knight, who should be a 17-5-4 guy before long. Knight was a two-time Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year in HS, following in the footsteps of LeBron James. Welcome to fold.

I hated to give up on Knight before really seeing how he's going to do in Milwaukee, but I need a little more consistency and efficiency on my team. Hopefully Korver can provide that.
Why the schlong face?

I know I'm buying low on Knight, but thought it was a risk worth taking.

I don't think you bought low on Knight, I think you sold high on Korver. i am a bit surprised Knight isn't putting up better numbers at this point in his career. I tried prying Knight away and was able to, I guess I should have tryed this year.

I just hope he can get his percentages up. Too many 2 for 11 games can be a killer.

I didn't sleep on him for real life. I wanted GSW to trade for a draft pick and draft him.
But I did sleep on him for fantasy this season, as I thought his FG% would destroy his value.

Because he doesn't appear in Yahoo I will leave an empty roster spot to represent him.
Craig can comment on this, but I think the only way this can be done (adding someone not on Yahoo) is through the draft. FA pickups need to be available on Yahoo.
Why? He was in the draft in 2011. I could have selected him then and continued to stash him on my roster to this day. I just cut out a couple years of stashing. It is really no different than when you selected Rubio. I can't remember if Rubio appeared in yahoo in 2010. I think they may have changed how they list international players that have been drafted but not come to the states.
I don't see anything wrong with what I did since he is property of an NBA team and was in the NBA draft.

So no imaginary FA pickups
1) All players who's rights are held by NBA teams may be drafted in the FFDL draft.
2) The only way to acquire a player not on an NBA roster is through the draft or through trade.
3) If a player on an FFDL roster leaves the nba, the manager who holds his rights is still eligible to keep him.
4) A 'Ricky Rubio' occupies a roster spot and acts as a normal NBA player and is therefore eligible to be placed in the IL after 5 missed games.
Rule #2 means that a player who has not yet entered the NBA can not be selected. In other words I can not claim James McAdoo who has not yet taken part in the draft. Mirotic's rights are owned by an NBA franchise and is therefore far game.
It's not like I am not taking a huge amount of risk here. He needs to be IL'ed all season and there is a chance he won't come over next season, there is a chance he will suck. I have a feeling if I said I wanted to claim İlkan Karaman no one would have a problem.

My last post on this topic - since no one else seems to care - but the rule clearly states that the only way to add a player not on a current NBA roster is through the draft or trade. So what you are trying to do now seems to be the precise reason why this was put in there in the first place.
Not sure how anyone can read that and take it to mean that you cannot "pickup" Wiggins or McAdoo as "Free Agents" during the seasons before they are drafted ... but that seems to be exactly how you seem to be understanding it!
To paraphrase that rule for this current situation ... "The only way to acquire Nikola Mirotic is through the draft or through trade"

Re: FFDL [league smack]
How is Mirotic any different than say Tim Haradaway Jr? He was in the draft. His rights are owned by an NBA team. He was available.
He will not be in the 2014 NBA draft or any other NBA draft becuase he was already been drafted. Do you see a little bit of difference there between he and Wiggins?

I definitely get that point (2) on "through the draft" means FFDL draft, not NBA draft. So it doesn't matter that a team holds his rights. I think Insfo makes a valid point and Mirotic should not be on theMan's roster.

Unfortunately, #2 is not the official rule.
Per that exact same post.
I think that could work and may make the league a little more fun. We'd need the whole league to vote on it.
However, here is the rule:
NEW RULE - The Ricky Rubio Rule will be invoked, starting from this season...that player will have to miss 5 games before being transferred to your IL. At the end of the season, you must make a decision (eh, theman) to either keep him in your 15-man roster heading into next season, or drop him to the FA pool.
Remember, if you draft a player, you must create roster space to accommodate them; no-one will have a roster larger than 15 at any time...so when you make a pick, please either tell me who you will drop, or that you have made a trade. I understand this might not be as easy to do, so everyone will get 24 hours to make room on their roster for draft pick(s).
CLARIFICATION - When a manager drafts a player and drops another, the guy just dropped can be drafted by another manager, though the second manager would also have the roster space to accommodate them.

There is nothing that says if Rubio is not drafted in FFDL he can not be picked up off the waiver wire! That makes zero sense. If he was not drafted he would immediately become eligible on the waiver wire like every other player. Why is there two sets of rules for European players and American players?

Still open to trading LaMarcus Aldridge.
Current top offer is Avery Bradley and Terrence Ross

It is B.S. but just to make you happy:
Trade to announce:
The Team send OldNo7 2014 2nd round pick to AlciG for pick #25 (via TheMan) in the 2013 draft.
And that pick is used for Mirotic. Since it was part of the draft it is nice and legal. Even though that is not a rule.

Stop being such a cry baby. I've been following this kid for three years. I've been planning the whole while to add him prior to the 2014 off season. That is what I did. You had no idea who he was until I claimed him as a free agent. If I picked up İlkan Karaman, instead I don't think you would have a problem with it.
He was drafted THREE years ago. He was an FFDL free agent, no different than anyone else that was in the 2011 draft and not currently on a roster. He was available for any one who wanted him. Every other manager passed on him. I picked him up. Get over it.

Re: FFDL [league smack]
You're focusing on the wrong kind of background here. Here are the pertinent details:
1) You've entered a delusion where you think you can make up rules
2) The actual rules say you'd need to draft Mirotic to acquire him
3) You're wasting a roster spot because you don't actually own Mirotic
