Maybe this injury will force the Wizards to give a real update on Otto. They were able to hide him with Ariza/Webster manning the 3, but now that the need is there Otto needs to start practicing or we need an explanation as to when he will practice....

BTW, reading the story on CSN, Ariza apparently felt the hammy and then kept playing and told Wittman as much? Once your hamstring knots up, even slightly, THAT'S IT! What the hell was Wittman doing allowing him to go back on the floor? How incompetent can you be? Now a one week injury may have turned into something 3-4 times worse. What a freaking joke...

Because they dont want to announce that he'll probably be out the entire season

Yep, you kind of get that sinking feeling that his season is essentially lost.

The Wiz still use him in advertising to watch the team play, and we still haven't been given any time frame as to when he'll play. Meantime, his college coach says he's just fine. And the team needs him - with Ariza out. It'd be at least a nice opportunity to learn his trade. But this is the Wizards.

I really hope he gets better soon and it's nothing too serious. I'm excited to see him play.

According to Bulletsforever, Tommy Sheppard (assistant GM) says that Porter has been shooting great and is on track to return in 2 weeks.

"Two weeks"? Is Shep trolling us?

I heard from a reliable source that it's 2-3 weeks.

I hope that he's up to the task of being the initiator on offense for the 2nd unit. I'd give Porter the green light and see if he can't strike up a mutually beneficial relationship with Webster/Harrington with respect to spacing.

Bump. Do we have a Weekend at Bernie's situation here and Otto actually died sometime this summer? The hell is going on?

Exactly, sash. I wonder if Otto Porter really exists. When's the last time anyone's seen him. Temple kinda looks like him, so whenever he needs to make a public appearance, they can touch up Temple and give him elevator sneakers. The only problem is when they need Temple to shoot...
