I know it is still early, but: Maybe the Hawks need to think about moving Horford at or near the deadline because he would net the biggest return. Maybe Asik, Motiejunas or Terrence Jones, 3 million cash, and 2014 1st round draft pick.

Now that Millsap hyas cooled and Horford is topping him in pretty much every tangible category, still feel like Paul is the player to retain?

I gotta say, the more I see him play, the more I believe Mike Scott is destined to become a younger version of Millsap.

I like Al's size and athleticism over Millsap. And I like Millsap Skill set and no nonsense style of play better than Al's. So I am torn between the two.

Al starting at the 4 tonight with Ayon manning the 5. Gustavo with 2 quick fouls though. Millsap coming off the bench. I think we might have the answer. Asik for Millsap. Throw Patrick Beverly in the mix and we might have a little something.

Utah Jazz season ticket holder here- I know this is late to the party, but I'd like to offer an opinion based on years of watching every game Millsap ever played in the NBA.

Atlanta is now sitting where Utah was for a few years there. Think about it...Millsap, Korver, Carroll, Horford is your Jefferson and Teague is your Devin Harris or Mo Williams. No shooting guard to speak of on either team...

Paul Millsap is a solid, solid PF in the NBA. Horford is solid. The problem is that solid wins games, but you need elite superstars to compete for championships. Atlanta lacks that superstar on the wing. Put Kevin Durant on your current squad and the team wins 60+ games and is in the conference finals at least, maybe even winning it all. Neither Millsap nor Horford is your team's problem. Those guys are good players. It's the lack of a superstar that prevents the team from taking the next step.

I do remember Millsap making the Western Conference Finals with a guy who was once upon a time a great point guard. What was his name? Deron something or other...

We are working on acquiring a star wing player through the draft or Free Agency.

Stay tuned.
