Without a doubt as long he's healthy and the Timberwolves makes the playoffs.

He gets the stats but his teams don't get the wins. Stats wise, he's a surefire candidate. Wins wise.. Well his teams have had some pretty horrible records.

Actually, 2014 Timberwolves are 6 and 3. In Love's other years he's put up numbers for middling or lottery teams

As long as the Wolves are doing as well as they are, I don't see how anyone could say no to this. MVP's seem to be decided by stats, dominance, popularity, and team record. Right now he is averaging 27 and 14 and the wolves have a win percentage of 66%.
I don't think Kevin Love deserves the MVP at this point because there are more dominant players, but I sure as hell would consider him for it and that's what this poll is asking.

He's one of the best candidates for MVP there is. Of course he should be considered. The last big guy to put up numbers anywhere close to this was shaq. Give credit where credit is due. If wolves go minimum a 6th seed, and kevin retains these numbers, which he will providing there are no injuries, then he's an easy top 3 candidate. He would also have a good chance at winning it all as well.

Yes, but only because the stupid sportswriters suffer from "voter fatigue" or whatever the hell you call it and just vote for somebody else because they're sick of voting for the same guy over and over, even if he continuously deserves it. If LeBron continues to play as he has, there's no other legitimate choice for MVP.
Terrible decisions like the one I anticipate this year create more bulls**t. For example, last year people were pushing Kobe for MVP, because he only has one and deserved more. Well, maybe if the idiot voters hadn't voted Steve Nash over him back in '05 and '06, Kobe would have all the MVPs he deserved and we wouldn't need to compensate by robbing LeBron, who currently deserves it. Even Jordan got jobbed in '97. LeBron already got screwed once in '11. I also think Shaq was robbed in '01. But the worst of all, was when Wilt Chamberlain had the greatest regular season in the history of basketball, and wasn't awarded the MVP. 50 points per game and no MVP!! When I saw that, I realized the MVP award has no credibility whatsoever.

You are definitely right about "voter fatigue" lol. That is exactly why Rose got MVP over lebron. Rose had a breakout year and he was playing so good that they felt it would have been a crime not to reward him. Not to mention the fact that everyone knew lebron was going to get more MVPs regardless. Lebron had much better stats that year, but i'm sure because they didn't want to vote for him every year that they jumped on the opportunity with Rose.
I would argue that K Love is actually putting up legitimate MVP numbers. How often do we see Players avg 27 and 14? How often do we see players avg 14 rebounds? Not often at all. Plus his scoring numbers are currently around the same as lebrons i think. I'd have to check, but they are not too far off. K Love is a far more legitimate comparison than rose was in 11. Especially if the wolves continue playing this well.

Damn.
He also scores 1.25 points per possession used. That's better than Durant and LeBron.

Right now, yeah. But he's limited defensively and can't provide the kind of ball-handling and versatility that LeBron does. If he can maintain this production throughout the season, I can understand people wanting to make an argument. But I'd have to ask, do people really think the Timberwolves would be worse if you switched Kevin Love with LeBron James? Because if they do, then I guess they truly believe in their argument of Love for MVP. But I don't think it's close.
Also, 27 and 14 may be rare, but 14 rebounds per game is not. Dwight is averaging 14.9 right now, 14.54 in '12, 14.08 in '11 (Love also averaged 15 rpg '11), and 14.08 in '08. Furthermore, Dwight averaged 13.84 in '09, which matches Love's 13.8 this year. Rodman averaged over 14 rpg every year from '92 to '98. In conclusion, someone will do it each year, more often than not.

Team wins shouldn't factor into MVP. I don't think that's right to be honest.

I would like to see him make the playoffs first but he sure is playing some good ball.
