2014 NBA Draft

Post#1 » by josh_nuggets » Sat Nov 9, 2013 5:24 am

Say we do get a high lottery pick, say top 7. Who should we draft? Assuming all top college players declare. (Also no wiggins cause we no he will be first pick)

Personally think we're every chance of getting #1

The way things are looking so far the Nuggets will have to chances at a top 3 pick, they could possibly end up with Wiggens or Parker at this rate.

If nuggets got wiggins would they start him at 2 or 3

And if they got parker, start at 3 or 4? That means gallo or faried is out of the starting 5

Also randle is a possibility as faried is very limited on offense

I actually like Exum or Embiid. They would both possess qualities this team currently needs.

Even though we've GOT to talk about it, I hate giving up before the game's even begun. Just have a sneaking suspicion that other teams GMs will be hungrier than ours, and smarter and by intentionally losing the value of the team as it stood at the end of last season will have been squandered.

We have a better shot figuring out if Shaw is even going to be that guy that coaches this team. If so, he has his system.

Are we more committed to the ideal of perfecting the half-court game, keeping Shaw, or just keeping the value no matter what? I think once you are shown what will lead to success it becomes easier to say that's the way you want to go -but we've yet to see how the future success will be achieved...

There's no looking back on some of the choices that will need to be made this season.

This draft is LOADED with potential, not a bad year to tank.

If you watch Parker play, he is identical to Carmelo. Embiid would be a great addition, since our Center position is looking very weak.

Unfortunately, I still think once Chandler and Gallinari come back we'll be too good to get a pick in the draft. Or we could start making trades to stock up on picks.

In addition to that unfortunately, we really do have to see how the dynamic of the team changes once we have Chandler and Gallinari back in the lineup. We seem to be hearing a lot of complaints about offensive versatility at the same time our two most versatile players are out. Once they are back you get that 50/50 middle of the road, but you also get unlimited potential depending on dedication.

If Chandler and Gallinari went through this last season, the team would not have won 57 games.

The Knicks are now only one game ahead of last place in the East.

While the offseason and season start has been bad, hopefully we get a little bit of luck at the end of the year.

Yeah, we could make playoffs and (hopefully) knicks continue to play bad and we get a top 5 pick

Is there any protection on the pick from NYK?

Lottery stakes got better tonight.

Knicks are now tied last.

I'll be happy with a top 7 pick but top 3 would be incredible.

unfortunately the historically bad east is gonna prevent us from getting a top 5 pick. NY could be a horrible team but there are so many eastern teams that are worse or are tanking. it would take a miracle for them to even miss the playoffs.

put the knicks in the west and its a guarantee they are in the lotto.

Hey Nuggets fans, got to say you guys are looking very lucky right now lol. I always said that the Knicks traded the farm in return for Anthony, but now it's starting to look A LOT WORSE. As someone who doesn't like what the current Knicks represent, I'll be getting a good chuckle if you guys get a top 3 pick in the draft! Just make sure to let us get the higher pick :-P

I wouldn't say that. Nets should be better than their records show, and if Bynum starts to play consistently well and the Sixers can stay healthy, who knows. I do sort of expect them to get back into the playoff picture, but I don't know, they have to really bounce back, but the Knicks just have a terrible team.

For some reason, I really like Joel Embiid, so I wonder if a Hickson/Mozgov/McGee can be flipped for a starting SG.

Damn you guys have a top pick right now. I would go for a wing player. Or if their are offensively talented bigs.

Before I get my hopes up too much, NBADraft.net says that "Magic receive Nuggets 2014 draft pick (or Knicks pick, whichever is less favorable)".

Huh?

Which ever pick is lower the Magic get, so right now they would get the Nuggets pick and the Nuggets keep the Knicks pick
