GM-A-Team Wizards- How did I do?

Post#1 » by HornetJail » Fri Nov 15, 2013 10:27 pm

Hey Washington fans,

GM A Team is a game where 30 people act as GMs for each team in the league and try to improve it as a much as possible (whether it's a total tear down and rebuild or a push for a championship) for two seasons, ending up at the end of the 2014-15 offseason. The objective is to improve the team's situation and future outlook from where it was in real life when the game started.

I made moves for the Wizards and ended up with the roster below (I did not have Gortat when the game started). How did I do?

Al Jefferson / Gorgui Dieng
Serge Ibaka / Ersan Ilyasova / Patrick Patterson
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist / Kyle Korver / Chris Copeland
Jeff Green / Gary Harris / Gerald Green
Tony Parker / Jarrett Jack / Will Bynum / Tomas Satoransky
investigate Adam Silver

Turd would be so proud

* wipes away tear *
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Looks real good at PF and PG (good to see you kept T-SAT, so the team has a future).

Definitely some nice pieces, a lot better in the short term. Looks like a play-off team to me. I think MKG would have to be a superstar for the team to be a contender.

Did you have to give up picks to get that roster? If you added picks and upgraded to that level, it was a great job.

Kinda hard to identify that as the Wizards since Satoransky - of all people - was the one kept.

Most GM-A-Teams end up that way since there is such an emphasis on trading. Basically the All-NBA guys(1st team) are likely to stay put and everyone else pretty much gets swapped around.
