OT: Anyone played NBA 2K14?

Has anyone played NBA 2K14 on any platform? If so, what are your thoughts?

I don't have nearly as much time for video games these days but if it really seemed worth it I might cough up the $60 to see what I can do with our Suns squad...

I love the 2K series, but I'm sticking with my Xbox 360 and 2k13 copy for now. I have 4 different Suns associations (one is a current rebuilding project with updated rosters, one is the 2009-2010 team, one is the 2004-05 team, and one is the 92-93 team).

For anyone who has a copy of 2k14, what are the Suns' player ratings? I would bet that Miles Plumlee is probably around a 55 or 60 until a roster update comes along.

I love 2K14, it is better and more realistic than ever. Amazing video game.

I have it on PC but it's using current-gen engine which is a bit of a let down since my PC would be able to run the next-gen engine that the PS4/XB1 is getting. I must say though, the next-gen 2K14 looks fantastic.

I HATE lebron but am really enjoying the "path to greatness" mode

Currently he's on the Knicks. Had to play against iverson in the last game

It's not worth buying the "current" gen one at all... Very little has changed since 2k12. They put zero work into changing pretty much anything in the MyCareer mode, which is all I'm really interested in playing. They've used the same cut-scenes since the mode first premiered.

Getting the current gen version of the game is basically paying $60 for a mid-sized game patch. The controls are ever so slightly different.

And as stated, kind of lame that the PC version is using the current gen engines. 2K sports hates PC users, though. I'd rather they didn't rush it out on PC and put out a better version along with the next-gen console versions.

Totally agree Grumpy. Really hate that they totally ignored PC and just shipped out the current-gen version. My assumption is that PC is not a big market for them so it wasn't worth spending money to port to PC.
