Steve Blake must take advantage of older slower Chauncey Billups. But who's going to guard Jennings? Guy is a scoring machine.

Sorry but as a Pistons fan looking at your game thread, I gotta let you know you got Billups name under Jennings and Jennings name under Billups picture. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pistons start the last starting lineup that they used to beat the Kings. They started Kentavious Caldwell-Pope at SG instead of Billups who sat out with tendonitis in his knee. We've been getting off to very slow starts and that lineup adjustment seemed to help the team get out to a good start.

GL and here's to a good game tonight.

If you can't beat a team with Jennings & Josh Smith, you'd lose my faith in humanity.

We need this win tonight to stay afloat here. Besides the Spurs the rest of the West seems to be up and down right now. Lets put together a string of wins here to get back in the mix

Our playoff hopes already look bleak with the way blazers, wolves and mavs started. We need a really good trade to get in that mix.

Ehh....I wouldn't say they're already out of reach, the three teams you listed haven't had nearly the schedule we've played. It will balance out. Those teams have been fortunate to not have to battle injuries yet.

LPP is pretty much on point in his analysis, we just have to stay hovering near .500 until Mamba comes back. I still feel we can snatch the 7th seed, 6th if we catch some luck. But at the same time I'm a realist, we have to play harder and better to stay in contention.

I dont think we'd get value for anyone we try to move. I'm starting to come back around on Pau. He's just not in game shape yet and he'll play better when Kobe gets back. Either way we need to ride out this roster for the season so we can have 50mill in cap space going into next season. Any trade moving Pau may get us a pick but bring us back a bad salary and a player who obviously wont be as good as him

Till this day I feel if Kobe didnt get injured last year this franchise would be in a complete different position. We were just hitting our stride the last 40 games of the season last year smh.

But this year even with Bean back they'll need to be a minute restriction maybe 25mpg for the first couple weeks or so. He may not be playing his best ball (whatever that maybe) until a couple months after. Even Rose is having a hard time getting back into game shape.

Man reading the Pistons GT you'd think we're about to get mopped up at home. They simply view the Lakers as a "bad" team they should easily beat. But the Pistons are 3-5, all 3 wins against teams that won't make the postseason.

I like our chances in this game, the thing I sensed from the Kobe appearance at practice on Saturday was the fact the fellas seemed to draw some positive energy from it. Hopefully it carries over to the next couple of games because now for the first time they can sense him coming back.

We should've won Friday, we're just missing that "go to" guy when we need buckets.

Pistons have good talent they just have bad pieces that don't fit together. Josh Smith and Jennings drops your IQ substantially. I am fan of Drummond though. That guys has great defense.

Yeah that 40 (28-12) stretch had us balling well. We had some very impressive wins and won games the way a contender wins them.

And I agree about Kobe, anybody thinking he's just going to pick up where he left off is lost a bit. He'll slowly get there but guys have to keep playing hard. It takes time to get back in 48 minute mode game shape. If Kobe comes back around Thanksgiving or the 1st of December then I see him getting back around March.

Hey how do you guys feel about Greg Monroe ?

It's a known fact the Pistons don't seem to interested in him being there long term, or they would've given him that extension. I like his game, a big with big man moves. He could be a better rebounder and defender but I blame a lot of that on just having bad coaching since he's been in the pros.

He'll be restricted but I think we could nab him for the right price.
