Love little dog. But hope like heck we aren't talking about him come June.

Yep. Love him and Gary Harris but I hope to hell I don't hear us call either name unless we have a second first rounder.

Theres only five names I care about right now. Parker, Wiggins, Exum, Randle, Embiid

I think we're sleeping on Aaron Gordon.

By the way, this is the most I've been into college hoops since the '96 draft.

Wiggins, Parker, Randle or Exum. Anything else would be a disappointment.

What has Exum done to excite people? Seems as much of a project as Yanni to me.

Terrific athlete. I was actually surprised on his jump shooting range as well. He still concerns me right now. We see every year these physically gifted players come into the draft and they just never pan out in the NBA. I'm optimistic on the kid but I'm not as high on him as others might be. I think right now I would take 6 or 7 guys in front of Gordon. (Wiggins, Parker, Exum, Randle, Harrison, Embiid and MAYBE Smart)

Nbadraft.net inexplicably has Gordon at 23rd in their mock. I realize they aren't DX but those guys aren't completely stupid. Not sure what red flag they are looking at there.

Yeah, 1996 draft was huge but I also was into college hoops early for the 2007 draft.

Thx for the heads up on Randle at 6pm.

He is a unique player. 6'6 point guard that can handle the ball very well, looks like he can get to the rim and use his length to get his shot off and he can shoot the ball from outside. He has an incredibly quick first step as well, and can finish at the rim.

Okay. That sounds like Michael Carter-Williams. Is there a discernible difference? Is the quickness the difference?

These questions are sincere, by the way. I'd really like to know more about these guys because, like I said after watching the open practice intros (#Humblebrag), we're getting a top pick.

Randle loves pushing off with that off hand.

Going to overrate him a bit and say Exum reminds me of Penny Hardaway with less passing skills. He has a first step that doesn't look like many people are going to be able to guard and the size to abuse smaller guards.

Exum also has that non-American thing going for him that may not view going to MKE/WI as an automatic negative.

Well that's who nbadraftnet compares him to.

Guess I need to think of a different comparison because nbadraft.net is awful.

I would say from the brief few times I've actually been able to catch Exum play outside of Summit Hoops, he is kinda like Carter-Williams but quicker and has a better shot. Now Exum still needs to work on his shooting as it can be streaky at times. I think he has the leadership and passing abilities of Carter-Williams but again, can score at the rim and is an overall more talented offensive threat. I think coaches might see Exum as more of a two guard right now but he can play both positions really.

From what I've seen, he resembles MCW in size/length but their games/mentalities are different. Exum has more of a scorer's mentality, and is faster and more explosive. I prefer my PG's to have more of a facilitator's mentality, but Exum's talent is undeniable and it would be extremely exciting to get him.

a team made up of Exum/Giannis/Henson/Sanders would really be unprecedented in terms of length.

He's one of those guys that thinks he should be a SF when everyone else knows he's 100x better as a PF. He should still be mocked much higher than that though. He reminds me of Shawn Marion in a lot of ways.

I don't care what anyone says, I like Smart better than Exum right now. This board has a tendency to overrate "upside" and underrate the "sure thing." Plus Smart is a better facilitator and defender.
