How would we get Rondo? By kidnapping him?

Lin/Asik would probably get the job done, but I don't think Houston would do it, for spacing reasons and the fact that Lin is better off the ball. We'll see though.

I could see Boston sending him that way as a favor I guess I just dont see what Boston would gain besides sending a big f**k you to the rest of the league.

Lin is better off the ball? What? Did I just read that right?

This is the only deal that'd involve us and have just a very minor chance of happening:

http://basketball.realgm.com/tradecheck ... de/6355248

And even then, we'd still have to send out picks to both Boston and Houston.

they're not even playing asik. it'd be like trading lin for rondo.

Rondo can't shoot. Lin has developed a pretty good shot. Harden pounds the rock a ton.

Rondo is the exact opposite of a PG that can help this team. An upgrade sure, but he doesn't fit the team at all. Melo needs aggressive high iq point guards with jumpshots. Rondo has the iq but he's never aggressive outside of big games and he can't shoot for ****.

Since Harden pounds the ball and is essentially their PG, the guard next to him better be able to shoot. Rondo can't.

harden isn't that different of a player then pierce was. that's a non issue. from what I've seen beverly isn't exactly steve nash either.

Just tell the Celtics anything on our roster is available outside of Melo what deal do you want to make.

Pierce was a vet and changed his game. I don't know if Harden is going to do that at 24. He's a fantastic player, but is amazingly ball dominant and has crazy tunnel vision.

i don't think anyone would want any player on this team BUT melo. ****, i bet if ainge could he'd rather trade his first rounder for melo on the high probability he gets burned for tanking like he did for duncan and oden. at least he'd be able to build a winner much faster with rondo and melo.

i don't think harden would either, but i don't think management would appease him and pass on rondo for that reason. having someone to pass the ball to howard would be much more important to them and their championship aspirations.

LOLOLOL at the thought of Ainge even considering that.

Child please.

Makes much more sense salary wise then Houston offer... Also much more sense talent wise!!

All Asik does is rebounding and post defense... Sullinger does the same for 10 fold cheaper!!

Amare contract expires two seasons earlier and Shump, Felton getting paid ~6M combined!!

Alsooo, they would dump Wallace's and Lee's awful contracts. Amare is the KEY: The irony! :)

Passing the ball to Howard would help, but honestly, he needs to get his **** straight. His post game looks like crap, his vert and athleticism is completely shot, and he can't even catch the ball or do anything with it without turning it over. I'm not sure if that's all on Harden, Lin, and Beverley.

I think if Houston is under performing by the break, they'll try that trade. I think they want to see what they can do with this group though. Lin and Bev can both hit the 3 ball, and Lin can create when Harden is off the floor, so he's a good fit regardless. We'll see though.

I think if Houston wanted Rondo, they would have him already.

The daily news is deliberately trying to sabotage us out of spite. You guys see this right? Throwing lin out there is a pot shot to the fans.

We have a better shot at rondo or a similar impact player if we trash the 2015 idea. Our greatest asset in that case is not shump but our ability to take salary beyond 2015.

Honesty. For the right players I think thats the best thing for us to do. If we have to hang onto this mess for this and next season we are better off letting them walk and start thinking about a post James nba. Start thinking ahead. Get the next big thing and set a new standard for after James and force others to adapt to us.

Deal would look more like this

Felton, Hardaway Jr, Shump, Amare + 2018 pick

for

Rondo, Lee, Wallace
Baf: Heat Culture

Ayo Dosunmu | Jamal Shead | Dru
Devin Booker | Brandin Podziemski | Okoro
Demar Derozan | Harrison Barnes | Highsmith
Karl Towns | Jabari Smith
Brook Lopez | Luke Kornet | Achiuwa
