Why is that? Rudy is a solid two way player that's off to a slow start. Him and demar don't really compliment each other that well so Rudy's game is suffering. He could thrive in Cleveland playing with a pg that knows how to ball.

The Cavs don't have any bad contracts to send for this bad contract.

Well a third team can be added to the mix to make something happen.
Firstly would the Cavs be interested in Gay?

I've been saying all along that they wouldn't

Tough to say, but I'd imagine not. The Cavs plan to have max cap space for next offseason and adding Rudy to the books ruins that. Add that he wants to take a lot of shots, and there's no fit.

Demar? Tough call. Probably not a fit either unless something happens with Waiters.

Waiters+Dellavedova for Butler+Snell+Mike James

The friction between Waiters and Kyrie is resolved by bringing in a rising young star in Butler who is a lockdown defender, solid standstill shooter, and developing slasher. Natural position is the 3 but is a capable 2-guard. Would be ideal next to a 2 PG offense like the Cavs often feature in Kyrie/Jack.

The Bulls get a 2nd scorer to put next to Rose. Resolves the conflict in position with Butler/Deng.

Edit: If you prefer Deng to Butler, the Bulls would be even more amenable to that because of tax concerns. We may be able to offer Deng/James for Waiters/Clark/Miles, if that'd interest you.

Yes because holding on to a 31 year old Varejao who has lost a step, injury prone and was the worst interior defender in the league last year (proven, google the article) and Bynum who has degenerative knees is much, much better. Why on earth would we want a young, strong 7 footer who protects the rim and rebounds?

I would say I'm glad you're not running the organization but I fear you would do just as bad a job. . .

For better or worse the Cavs are not doing anything to mess up their cap space for this offseason. Any deal that does that, unless a completely lopsided blockbuster of a trade, is a non-starter.

Javale has all the talent in the world. But he's got more than a decent share of knucklehead in him. Not worth 11 mil at all.
