I know Spo loves to downplay injury concerns, but after the past two postseasons Wade has had, one has to wonder how long his body will last. I mean, judging from my perspective, it seems like he's done everything he possibly could this offseason (offseason, therapy, working towards strengthening his knees), yet on his first back-to-back early in the season, he seems to have massive issues.

And for those being sensitive, this is not a hate post, just a question on what other people's take on it is.

Eh, I'm not too worried about it for a couple reasons.

(1) The Heat know more about it than we do and they seem to think it will get better as the season wears on
(2) When rested, Wade has looked quick and the knee has looked strong, and there are no back-to-backs in the playoffs

Regarding (1), Spo always seemed like he had it under control last season, yet the outcome was pretty bad. I remember the Magic game shortly before the playoffs where he seemed fine, yet when the postseason rolled around all it took was one more hit and he was done for most of the postseason.

Regarding (2), he looked quick last season as well, that's not the problem at hand I believe, but durability is the issue I see here. The playoffs may not have back-to-backs, but the intensity of the games usually takes more of a toll on you than 90% of the regular season games.

The thing is, I'm usually not worried about much, but it's now the third year in a row that he's battling with on-going knee issues at an age when others are still in their prime.

Well, I dont' agree that Wade looked equally quick last year as he does right now. I think this is the quickest he's looked since year 1 of the Big 3 (when he was definitely quicker than he is now). But I think the other thing highlights well that Wade's injuries at the end of last year were pretty fluky. Because of the wear and tear he such hits might effect him more, but it was pretty bizarre to have so many hits on the knee.

I wouldn't be disappointed if DWade doesn't play in any back to backs, i know what he can do. He gets a pass from me.

After that poor display last night of missed shots, bad passes, and turnovers, I'm with you. Wade does not play back to backs any more this season. Discussion over.

Also, Haslem should never step on the floor again.

And Lewis and Beasley should see floor time together.

I actually look forward to (dare I say it) to Lewis coming into the game and also like both he and Beasley in the game together. We seam to have a match up issue when they are in the game. Can't wait until we play INDY....Lewis especially has bought into our defensive scheme, looks very spry out there so far.

The way Beasley is playing is a testament to what "renewed confidence" can do for a player...night and day from the first game.

Not really worried about Wade. The early buzz was to keep him out of back to back through December or so. I've got no issue with that. He knows his body and I'll chose to believe his knees will be stronger off the treatment by January.

What I'd like to see if a more aggressive Bosh, like he was in preseason. I know, I know; preseason, but still.

Still can't get over how lights out the bench has been. Please, let that continue.
