First of all, you should CTF down. I'm new, yes, and so what? I'm a knick fan and I'd like to speak my mind about few things. If you don't like it I honestly don't care.

New guy had an attitude

Just bustin ya chops bro welcome to the site

Tread lightly

But let me ask

Do you miss Lin
Do you want Melo to stay
Do you want to trade Shumpert
How do you feel about Chris Smith
What about Woody
What about STAT
Where do you see things going

LOL, was it a kind of rookie initiation? BTW, I'm andy (currently living in the UK). I don't miss Lin and I guess Melo should stay like Imam, as I see it. Really dislike Woody and dunno about CS. As for STAT, just read there is a trade going on with the Celtics, involving Gerald Wallace and Courtney Lee. No Rondo unfortunately.
However, IMO, Felton is the one who needs to leave as soon as possible. Again, a trade with the Pistons (who are no longer interested in Monroe) would be definitely effective for both teams
Michael Jordon may have been the best basketball player in history, but he couldn't have won six NBA titles without a team.

Phoenix is a good match for a 3rd team. Maybe help them get a SG they've desired without giving up their expiring(s) or 2014 1st rd picks.
Something like;

Knicks get - Rajon Rondo (BOS), Gerald Wallace (BOS), Brandon Bass (BOS), Courtney Lee (BOS) & Keith Bogans (BOS)

Celtics get - Goran Dragic (PHX), Iman Shumpert (NYK), Channing Frye (PHX), Amar'e Soudemire (NYK), Jason Smith (NOP) & 2015 1st (PHX)

Suns get - Eric Gordon (NOP) & Raymond Felton (NYK)

Pelicans get - Tyson Chandler (NYK) & JR Smith (NYK)

Knicks: Evidently Rondo is the main piece. Another thing to note with Wallace & Lee is that they'd likely be plugged right into the starting line-up. Which would essentially build their trade value playing with Rondo, Melo & Bargs. So they'd be known as starters AND expirings by the time 2015 comes around.

Celtics: Only player on a 3-year deal the Celtics will receive is Goran Dragic & by his 3rd yr, it may be a steal of a deal compared to Wallace's & Lee's contracts. Add in Shump to plug in between Dragic & Jeff Green. Frye & Amar'e both as expirings next season. Jason Smith an expiring now. Keeps 2 1st picks for 2014 & then add a 2nd 1st round for 2015.

Suns: They get a player they craved for awhile & it's not Shump. Instead, it's Eric Gordon & now they have Eric Bledsoe to pair with him. They could essentially do a separate deal for Gordon with OK4's expiring, but us dealing Chandler saves the Suns OK4's expiring, which means they save a lot of money this off-season, to sign an impact player to that team. Plus they keep both 2014 1st rd picks.

Pelicans: Simple. They swap Gordon out (a luxury) with Tyson (a need) & Tyson expires sooner than Gordon. JR can fill in for Gordon for the time being scoring wise. His contract will allow him to always be trade-able in a season or 2.

I'd do it if its this:

Celtics send:
Avery Bradley
Gerald Wallace
Brandon Bass
Courtney Lee

Knicks send:
Amare Stoudemire
JR Smith
Raymond Felton

Knicks then proceed by waiving Chris Smith to make enough space for this trade to work.

Boston saves around 6-7 mil in 2015. Knicks gain 7-8 mil in 2015, but get a more balanced/younger defensive minded roster.

Bradley / Prigioni / Udrih
Shumpert / Lee /
Melo / Artest / Wallace
Bargnani / Bass
Chandler / K-Mart / Aldrich
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

The fact you don't know how you feel about Chris Smith makes me hate you. GTFO and stay out.

Both Bradley and Shump are too similar. Both have the same strengths (beast on defensive end, quick, athletic) but neither of them can really shoot or be relied on to score. I'm also not sold on Bradley's play making skills.

I'd rather take the lock down D & lack of play makings skills than watch Felton play no D & have a lack of play making skills.

I think the Raptors and Knicks should become trade partners again, a good deal both ways would be a package of Shump and fillers for Lowry and fillers.

Knicks get a proven PG someone with good play making skills and can score when needed. Tough hardnosed PG who just wants to play on a winner.

Raptors get another young piece to add to their core, Shump gets his chance to really shine. Allows the raptors to then move Derozan and have Shump at the 2.

I don't want a "proven" PG who is proven to suck.

Do you guys think Prigs or THJ would be enough? If we somehow manage to get rid of Ray, I'd be quite happy to look for a C rather than another PG

im guessing your a boston fan

why would anyone want bostons trash??? especially under those contracts

For Iman Shumpert, the best player in the deal with the most value, and then andre miller who still has value?

Denver wouldn't trade a 2nd round pick alone for courtney lee with his awful, what makes you think they would throw in Miller?

Knicks wouldn't make that trade in a million years.

unfortunetly you would have to drug a gm to take either one of them.

This thread has been busy lately so I'm not sure if this has been posted, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has given how much sense it makes (assuming we our willing to scrap 2015 cap space):

NY gets: Goran Dragic, Courtney Lee, Gerald Wallace, Channing Frye

Phoenix gets: Iman Shumpert, Kris Humphries

Boston gets: Amare Stoudamire

Is it bad if I know all of these players' salaries by heart and I just calculated to see if the deal works in my head?

Either way, I'd do this. I think Phoenix and Boston would, too.

The only trade I believe is within reason/would like to see, 2015 moving Felton's 4.5M and Shump's 3.8M that would free up another 8M.

not a bad deal if it works. Frye can play center for this team. or pf.
