Michael Jordan's game won't age well...he'll fall off once his athleticism declines, unless he develops a 3-point shot.

Although RealGM did not exist in the 1980s, archives of NBA discussion still exist. Google acquired Usenet, which served as what we know call forums, for the average Internet users of the 80s. It also has a great "Search" feature so you can find interesting discussion about a variety of subjects.

Here is an example.

http://groups.google.com/groups/search? ... itesearch=

Usenet is a community (which still exists) and google archived it on the web after acquiring Deja.com. They didn't buy all of Usenet. Companies like Usenetserver, Newshosting, and Giganews still run Usenet servers today. Mostly filled with warez and adult movies now days tho...

Why was Michael Jordan saddened to hear that his father's body was
recovered??

Because he had 10-1 odds that it wouldn't be found!!!

Who's this cocky teenager getting traded for Vlade Divac?

Divac is a proven winner.

Look at Portland. They could
have drafted Michael Jordan, but they took Bowie instead. Everyone
said that they were making a mistake. No mistake. Portland needs
another guard like it needs a hole in the head. Yes, Jordan has
had a great rookie season, but Bowie has done well and the
Trailblazers are looking strong for the playoffs.

what kind of topics or discussions would have been? did our way of communication changed the viewpoint on the league, players.

ps: sry for my bad english. i hope you get my point.

Nah, everyone would be raving about Jordan seeing as how this board looked during the Kobe days and now Lebron getting insane praise.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Its time to start talking about Rodman.

I'd love to see the threads accusing Malone of being on drugs, and the trolling Magic HIV threads.

Disclaimer -- yes, what happened to Magic was sad.. I still like the
man very much and enjoyed watching him play. But he didn't get it
from a toilet seat or a blood transfusion, so lighten up, everyone..
As the old saying goes, if you live by the sword (so to speak..),
then you may die by the sword.

Many interesting quotes from the old days, people were a lot lighter and less offended by inappropriate humor from what I've browsed.
