Celtics have already rejected multiple inquiries about PG Rajon Rondo, #NBA sources say. Rival GM: "Seems they want him for long haul."

i'm sure rondo is foaming at the mouth to be rumored into being teammates with melo and smith, 2 guys who want the ball in their hands. with melo it's fine because he's actually good, it's smith who's the problem.

i bet that if this ever happens, rondo and smith won't like each other.

Be patient and we can offer rondo the max. He will be a free agent when stat expires. The real debate is do we go all in for Rondo or Love. I say rondo then love.

Eh, made the wrong call and didn't expect Shump to regress. It happens. It's not like it was ever an option anyway.

Still, Superstar is an overused word that gets applied to way too many players in this league. I don't see Rondo as the sort of player you can build an entire team around.

OK - thanks for response.

You may have a point on the term Superstar --- not a word I tend to throw around and in retrospect I'd fall back to STAR. I will say Rondo playing with guys like Pierce/Garnett/Allen does cloud your ability to judge his pure impact.

The positive is that he showed the mental make-up to not only play with stars but in many ways to decide who got to play with the ball. Mental make-up and play in big games has much to due with how we judge stars and in those categories I rank Rondo high.

He was playing 20 mpg then and didn't have power within the organization like he does here.

Instead of dreaming alive and offering garbage to Boston for Rondo, Knicks should take an easier route, and offer Marcus Williams a contract.

Too bad Dolan, and his new president Mills probably are unaware there is smarter talent available in Euroleague that can be had for cheap...

Instead of dreaming alive and offering Marcus Williams a contract, Knicks should take an easier route, and get a time machine and not select Balkman in the '06 draft...we could have either of them!
