So the paint is still crowded, but instead of having an offensively challenged guy with Dwight, the Rockets get a guy who can't play defense.

The TT with Marc Gasol would actually work, since he does shoot from the outside quite well, and they need scoring badly, Lin would do a ton to help them.

Memphis is actually looking to get out of Z-Bo's contract, you just did them a gigantic favor by giving them 2 players that might put them over the top.

I also don't think the Bucks have much interest in Asik, but who be a high quality facilitating partner with pieces for Houston.

Larry Sanders is having legal troubles and injury problems. I bet they regret giving him such a big extension. ZaZa is not starting material anymore. Henson too small to play center. I think Bucks could definitely use Asik.

No, not really. Sanders made a mistake and hasn't shown that kind of character over time.

Bucks are rebuilding and looking for a top pick. My guess is the Bucks would want a Terrence Jones (or prospect) and a pick as a trade partner. Asik doesn't really serve what they're doing.

Sanders, Henson and Giannis is the Bucks future frontcourt. They need a backcourt now. I'm hoping Dante Exum is the Bucks pick.

Yeah, with what the Bucks are looking to do Jeremy Lin actually makes a lot more sense than Omer Asik for them, not that the Rockets FO would have any intention of doing that trade though.

Bucks are either looking for a guy that can score for them this year, or they're tanking , in either situation, Omer Asik doesn't make sense.

I've repeated said that the Kings are actually one of the most logical end destination for Asik, because Cousins at the 4 offensively is totally fine and they probably want to try and win his season and next. Though i'm not entirely sure if Jason Thompson is enough of an answer for Asik, which is why I'd always thought to try and construct a 3 way around the Kings. (their roster is super ideal to facilitate trades. a lot of random contract of all size to match, and ok but not good players.)

Bucks don't want Jones, their last 2 years draft are PF, they want to trade Ilyasova to give more playing time to those two. No doubt, Ryan Anderson is a better player. I just think Morey doesn't want to trade Asik to Pelicans. I feel Asik+Davis is more dangerous than Howard+Anderson

Saying he was “frustrated” but little else, Rockets center Omer Asik said he was ready to move on after last week’s benching and the absence for several days that followed. He would not, however, said if he would still like to move on from Houston.

“The thing is I was just frustrated,” Asik said at Tuesday’s shootaround. “It’s behind me now. I’m just looking forward to help my team to win.”

Asik did not address his trade request or his unwillingness to play or practice last week.

When asked if he still wanted to be traded, Asik would not comment.

“I do not talk about that,” he said. “I never talk about that. My focus is just winning tonight’s game (against the Celtics) and helping my team as much as I can.”

Asik was replaced in the Rockets’ starting lineup last Wednesday in Philadelphia, playing just four first-half minutes that night. At the team’s daily meeting the next day, he said he was not ready to play that night against the Knicks. He was held out of that game and did not attend Saturday’s shootaround or game against the Nuggets in Houston. He returned to practice on Monday.

Asik would not say if he was “frustrated” with the lineup change, playing so little in Philadelphia or the diminished role whether coming off the bench or starting since the Rockets’ July acquisition of Dwight Howard.

“I really don’t want to talk about any specific things,” Asik said. “It’s behind me now. That’s all I can say.”

Asik said little about his apology to the team, saying he wanted to keep that inside the team and again shifting attention to the game against the Celtics.

“Of course we talk, but it’s inside of the team,” Asik said. “I’m not going to talk about what’s happened. It’s between me and everybody. I’m just be professional and do my job.”

“I’m not here just for two months,” Asik said. “I’ve been here for more than two years now. I’m just being now good, ready for tonight’s game.

“I just want to be on the court, playing. I’m not going to be anything else.”

Jimmer's kindof amazing this year.
He's shooting 2's at a 27% clip, and 3's at a 50% clip, so in true Kings fashion, he's taking, per game, 3 less shots overall and 5 less 3's.
You read that right, he INCREASED the volume he's shooting on the shot he's shooting 27% on that's worth less while DECREASING his deadly 50% 3fg shot volume.

Meanwhile, his rebounds jumped to 6.7 per 48.

You could be right...i do remember a few years ago where Morey said he wanted to make a trade where it addressed the needs for both teams, but not one that directly competes with our team and possibly overtake us. Anderson or LMA is less likely, but personally, i think we go for the best fit or players no matter what.

Nope. Philly is picking up free agents Elliot Williams and Lorenzo Brown, according to a tweet from a Bob Cooney, who covers the 76'ers for the Philadelphia Daily News.

Basically, Hinkie is panhandling for gold or silver. Playing the numbers game. The more prospects he churns, the greater the chance he'll eventually hit. So he's cutting Kwame Brown and Darius Morris now that he's seen enough to form an assessment, and picking up another 2 prospects to churn and see if there's anything there. Elliot Williams and Lorenzo Brown were waived after training camp by Cavs and TWolves.
