If we manage to get Rondo AND dump Amare in the same deal, it will be the trade of the season.

I don't care if we have to add 3 year contracts back or not, we can always trade them down the line to get back on par with the 2015 plan.

It'd be nice if we could find a way to pry Vitor Faverani from the Celtics. He's the perfect center for the Knicks. Highly unlikely they'd give him up, though. Would love to see Bass, Gerald Wallace, or Courtney Lee in Knicks uni's though.

With this potential trade, we get ridiculously better on defense.

1.stoudamire + whoever they want for rondo.
2. sell everyone else to utah for the pick
3. keep trading people till they got 1 year contracts,
4. rebuild with 1st pick, anthony (maybe), rondo next year

to be honnest I would trade whole f***** roster including anthony for 2 top picks!

I wonder if they'd take Bargnani for Rondo... Like maybe Bargs, Shump, and Felton for him (plus whatever we have to take to make the money work). Uh, I wouldn't be crazy about that trade, but I'd still do it. It'd be smart to trade Bargs while his value is up in any event. Can we get their coach, too? :( :(

you act like he's 38 years old

he's still got 3-4 good years of service left and he's improved since we got him

Too bad Dolan, and his new president Mills probably are unaware there is smarter talent available in Euroleague that can be had for cheap...

Marcus Williams?

I did the trade in my 2k association mode even before the story broke.

I absolutely love seeing Rondo in a Knicks jersey, and his passing skills and bulldog attitude just match what we need. I really hope this happens, even if this year is a write off next year will be better with a full season of Melo playing with the best PG he's ever had.

They are just as idiotic over there. Lets give the Knicks all our bad contracts for Amare straight up. Who the hell does that? It took a future first to get out of Novak's contract a year early. Now all the sudden we are going to add 20-25 mil on the books for 2015 with no assets coming back. Those contracts would be in the form or Wallace and Lee? Both are trash players and wouldn't help us win anything so in what world would the Knicks do that? Both fan base sides are stupid.

The only way we get Rondo is if Chandler or Bargs go to a third team to get young assets the Celtics want for Rondo. We are not going to add contracts on 2015 in the form of Wallace and Lee to lose the flexability in that year.

The only reason a pick was in the Bargnani trade was because the Knicks don't value draft picks and include at least one draft pick, 1st or 2nd, in every trade they make. It has nothing to do with the value of trading of Novak or acquiring Bargnani.

NBA 2k is about the only place where Rajon Rondo will be traded to the Knicks.

We should look through the trade thread and see how many picks the Knicks threw in compared to how many they got back... relax I am on it!

Agreed and Knicks had nobody on their roster that Nuggets would take for Melo either.
