Wiggins has a little Scottie Pippen in him imo.

Wiggin's main goal is to find ways to attack off the dribble right to the rim getting bucket and drawing contact, w/ that ability he's going to get to the line a lot. Rudy looks to do as much dribbling as possible to create separation for that mid-range jumper, and rarely goes to interior in aggressive fashion. Their game and approach are entirely different, that I can tell you.
Yes there are differences, but Rudy does also attack the rim in a similar fashion. At least one those highlights against Pitt looked like Rudy (when he's assertive) driving to the rim and using those "go-go gadget" arms to lay it up over the defender.
Rudy also attacked the rim at UCONN. I'm sure Rudy has developed his shot a bit since college and obviously gets too complacent or over confident with his jumper rather than attacking. Whereas Wiggins is currently more comfortable attacking the rim.
To say they are ENTIRELY different is probably leaning too far to one side of the spectrum.

A Rudy Gay that attacked the rim wouldn't be Rudy Gay lol

That one play near the end I may agree to be Gay-ish, sometimes moves can be identical but what I refer to is the attacking approach, where Gay attacks, he isn't looking to draw the foul, rather using his long arm advantage (like you said) to lay it over his defender. When Wiggins attacks, he goes all out aggressively using his body/shoulder/arm contact to draw the foul. That's the difference that I dissociate between the two, not necessary saying Gay doesn't attack to the rim, rather pinpoint that he doesn't attack it "aggressively" like Wiggin does.

Rudy actually had a very successful first season at UCONN. Earned a couple of Freshman of the Year awards I believe too.

That's fair. I wish Rudy would though. Either way I'm excited to see Wiggins grow throughout the year.

I swear at times the way Wiggins moves reminds me more of a SG than a SF.

More like a hybrid between Scotty Pippen and PED-less LeBron with a good guy personality of Tim Duncan, who could transform into a hybrid between Magic and MJ and Larry Bird and prime-LeBron with a tiny bit of taste of Bill Russell later in his career. Could age as gracefully as Kareem late in his career.

Only a week away until we all get to see Wiggins play in fantastic HD! Love this decision by TSN and it is pretty interesting that one of our owners is behind that decision. When we remember how hard they went after nearly retired Steve Nash it's not surprising. Talk about a hedge move!

If Ujiri knew Wiggins would end up a Gay-type/bust, would he still draft him with the 1st pick? Would Bell/Rogers overrule him because of the marketing money to be made? Would Ujiri bite the bullet, clearly keep his bosses happy, and just try to win with a flawed piece anyway?

So glad TSN/TSN2 is picking up the games.
He does have pressure but I doubt that having his game broadcast to a few 100 Canadians on TSN2 is on on the list of pressure
Its about the same pressure as being on

Wiggins' defense so far has really impressed me more than anythinh. He's able to guard multiple positions on the floor. Projects into a lockdown defender at the next level.
That's the type of guy you win playoff games with.

Wiggins reminds me of a guy who can be McGrady like. But like... not the 30ppg McGrady necessarily, I'm thinking more along the lines of TMac on the Raptors just filling up the stat sheet. Don't know if his passing will develop enough but he's a guy with length who's going to be able to score the ball, play defense, rebound, block shots, and come up with steals.

He's very similar to Paul George if I had to compare him to a player who's active in the NBA right now.
I'll be watching this game for sure.

Wiggins has the tools to be a lockdown defender, but already saying that he is one after a couple of minutes against Jabari like damn. That's like saying Diaw is a LeBron stopper because he stopped him for a few minutes in the Finals lol.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth
