Re: Eric Bledsoe
I do tend to agree with Dragic13. The defensive energy put out the Suns players is immense. We saw for several years how the Suns floundered when Nash had to rest and he never put out the level of defense we see from Bledsoe. Having two players (Dragic and Bledsoe) who can both create shots is critical if we intend to play intense defense for 48 minutes. I feel strongly we would be at least 7-1 had Dragic been available for OKC, SA, and Portland.

Re: Eric Bledsoe
I finally get to watch a player grow into a star on the Suns. Also, Bledsoe is so important to the Suns because he is a great defender at the deepest position in the NBA. This will be a great help when the Suns are contending again. Hope he is here for a long time.

I can only assume you're a new fan. There have been plenty of players that have grown into stars on the Suns (Marion Stoudemire KJ, Davis, Majerle, Westphal, Nance, ….) . Maybe you meant to convey the message that it has been too long since that has happened and you'd be correct.

Bledsoe's on/off court stats:

Small sample size and all but we are +25 pts/100 poss. better with Bledsoe on the bench

Small sample size and all but we are +25 pts/100 poss. better with Bledsoe on the bench

I think Horny and Dragic are very aware about that stat....
Hornacek:
“We have these great stretches where we push the ball and get into things quickly and then we go into this, ‘Aw, we’ll just walk it up,’” Hornacek said. “It’s not even walking it up. We’re jogging it up. They think we’re pushing it up but it’s not full speed. I keep calling it ‘the Suns of last year.’ When I watched their games last year and scouted them, that’s what they did. They weren’t all-out fast-breaking but they weren’t walking it up. They were in that middle ground. We don’t want to be in the middle ground.”
Goran:
“We’re not sprinting to points and to set a screen,” Dragic said. “We’re more walking so maybe that’s why we’re not getting the open shots. We have to do all those plays a little faster.
“If you’re not running the plays quick enough, you’re getting the ball and you have seven seconds to make a shot and it’s tough. It puts pressure on your offense. Maybe sometimes you’re going to hit tough shots but usually you’re going to miss.”
Bledsoe is an amazing player, but he has to run the plays faster and he has to push the ball up court faster too. I think he will play like Horny wants very soon.

To be fair - a small sample size of unadjusted plus/minus is easily the worst way to use the statistic...

Could you possibly elaborate on this point for those of us (me) who are not so 'in the know' when it comes to stats?

That table isnt accurate... instead of "OFF-COURT" should say "ARCHIE ON COURT"

Small sample size, plus wouldn't the 5-man unit stats be better just so you can see how who he's playing with is effecting his numbers? He's played more minutes than anyone on the team, so he's bound to be in the game with some worse players at some point. His numbers while playing next to Dragic are actually pretty decent. Not sure how current this is, but the link below is what I found on nba.com. Hover over the column headers to get an explanation of each stat. I cut off the minutes at 15 per unit, which is obviously really low, but we're only 9 games into the season. Dragic is also noticeably absent from the lineups with the highest pace in the most used lineups.

The benefit of using adjusted plus/minus over raw plus/minus is that adjusted plus/minus accounts for skill level of teammates and competition.
The issue with just switching over to adjusted plus/minus is that even one full season isn't a great indicator of the stat's value - you really need a larger sample size (2+ seasons) to help limit the 'noise' in the statistic; which is kind of inconvenient for discussions such as this one.
Not that plus/minus shouldn't be used to help support a point, I just don't think it can begin to stand on its own until that larger sample size is available.

If you hike camelback in the spring time, you might be able to kill two birds with one stone. Lots of smoking hot "crossfit style" sluts love to climb that mountain. Get fit and get a numba, all in one trip.

Calling girls you don't know 'sluts'... the surest way to "get a numba"! Or not.

The length of time for Eric Bledsoe to recover for a left-shin bruise has been startling. It has been nine days since he collided with tank teammate P.J. Tucker and had a negative X-ray. Nobody knows what he feels. From the looks of him during pregame Monday, he feels discomfort with certain moves. He grimaced and limped with simple actions and waved off the idea of any lateral work.
