to be serious - Miles Plumlee has been looking surprisingly solid for the Suns.

I was gonna put "The Plumlees are better than the Zellers". We shouldn't do nothing. It's just making me question Cho's draft choices a la our good Brother Dave. I never liked the pick but I tried to buy in. I just feel cheated by having to watch that whole year of tanking just to come out with what we're currently seeing out of Zeller.

Nah, the Plumlees are what they are, serviceable bigs that can get some boards and commit 6 fouls. Zeller is a much better player than both of them, I'm just not crazy about his fit for us.

I was just ranting but Mason looked good last night in extended minutes for the Nets (19 points, 6 rebounds), better than Cody has looked for us at any point this season.

I never fully understood why they hired him outside of it looking like a sexy hire that'll get Nets fans & media publications excited about the new season, but I doubt that they'll admit to a mistake by hiring him so soon. They'll give him at least until the middle of next season

Needs to be a brother vs brother game sometime maybe part of the All-Star stuff

Team 1-JR Smith, Cody Zeller,Milies Plumlee, Robin Lopez, Stephen Curry, Justin Holliday, Marcus Landry,Paul Millsap and Pau Gasol

Team 2-Chris Smith, Tyler Zeller, Mason Plumlee, Brooke Lopez ,Seth Curry, Jrue Holliday, Carl Landry, Elijah Millsap and Marc Gasol

think that would be a great game

Interesting idea but that would be one of the most boring and meaningless games ever. Maybe a 2-on-2 tournament would be better. I actually think a 2-on-2 challenge with the best 2 players from chosen teams similar to NBA Jam would be fun to watch.

Looking at the way the season has gone so far, I think I would reverse my prediction for which picks we would receive this year. Portland is on their way to an 8-2 start and the Pistons look pretty bad. Im starting to think that were are going to get only one pick and that Detroit won't outplay the protection
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

I think the Pistons will still finish between 8th to 10th and possibly even up to a 6 seed in the East. It's still very early in this 82 game season. We were 7-5 last year at this point while the Pacers were struggling with a 3-7 record.

i think he will average 2 blocks easy, but i dont think the steals will be that high 2 steals is really hard to do

Crash was only the second player to do that. (Though Wilt probably did- they just didn't count blocks or steals back then)

That's incredibly hard to do. It's possible that Anthony Davis does it, but I seriously think that Andre Drummond could do it. Last year he averaged 1.7s/2.8b per 36, and this year his steals are up to 1.8spg but his blocks are down right now. Keep in mind he's still 20 and won't be 21 till late next year.

Davis's numbers are absolutely bananas. To think we were just one pick away from that...

There have been 4 or 5 players to average 2 & 2.

Hakeem, Robinson, Robertson and Crash definitely did it.

basketball reference can easily answer for us.

You were right apart from Robertson, only Crash, Hakeem (4 times!!) and Robinson has managed it.

steals and blocks were only counted for the last year of Oscar's career.

so 4 all up if Davis keeps it up.

Speaking of Plumlees. Has anyone watched Miles Plumlee this season? He went from a throw in the Scola trade to being a pretty solid player.

Cheers Sach!

Robertson was an absolute freak on the defensive end and I must have had a bit of revisionist history memory.

Yes, I have. The Suns as a whole have been solid and very very good on defense to everyone's surprise (Hornacek stole Doc's defensive-minded assistant and he has seemingly done wonders). If someone hasn't watched them yet, tune in and just see how those guys play "ice" on pick-n-rolls. But yeah, what's not to like about them!? They're young, fast, athletic and playing their asses off. I will definitely continue watching them.

As for Miles Plumlee, I already said previously that he has looked good. He's been great at defending the pick-n-roll, knows when to cut when the Suns themselves are playing the PnR and has a soft touch around the rim. He's no slouch in the post either, he'll make those hooks and bank shots around the paint.

If rookie shooting guard Seth Curry continues at his current pace, he might not be in the D-League for too long this season.

Curry, an undrafted free agent who spent training camp with his older brother's team in Golden State, has made quite an early impression. He followed up his 28-point, 5-assist effort with a 27-point, 7-assist, 5-rebound performance in Sunday's preseason win, per the D-League's Twitter account.

If Curry can keep this type of scoring production up for a month or so into the D-League season, we have to believe a number of teams could be interested. Utah, for one, desperately needs more scoring and perimeter shooting from its bench, and even with Brandon Rush coming back the Jazz are one possibility. The new-look Philadelphia team is another one that is rebuilding around young talent, and Curry could be an option to go with James Anderson at the two-guard. Curry's hometown Charlotte Bobcats are another team that currently ranks among the very worst in the league in both scoring and 3-point shooting, two areas where the Duke rookie could be an immediate help.

This team has such a man crush on Taylor that will never happen. Some team will pick him up, and he will average 10 a game off the bench as a sharp shooter.

Curry can essentially take Southerland's place (which is zero as of now). I wouldn't expect him to play a whole lot right now anyway. Anytime Clifford is desperate enough to bring Gordon or Pargo in, just play Curry.

I would love to get Curry, i think if he had a choice between any other team (not including GS) and Charlotte he would pick Charlotte because his dad works for us and its his hometown

Return to Charlotte Hornets
