^ Not sure if he is mocking me and my overly obvious observations or fleet for bringing to light my likely overly obvious observations.
Nevertheless, i will choose to think less of him at this point in time.

Re: GT: Bulls@Trailblazers; CSN, PM, 11/22
A not so overly obvious observation.
After this game concludes, im sure we will see many posts about our dismal 3 point defense.
Teams have hurt us on the 3 ball this season. Currently, the Blazers rank 8th in attempts, 3rd in makes and 4th in %.
Right now, the Bulls are second worst in terms of opponents 3P%.
On the flip side, the Bulls rank 18th in 3P%, 30th in makes and 30th in attempts. Currently, the Blazers lead the league in denying their opponents the 3 ball by only allowing 29% from deep.
In summary, Portland are not only shooting the **** out of the ball themselves from deep, they're stopping teams from drilling any against them. Given how poor we have been in this area, it could be brutal in this game.
I have a feeling this will be the key to the game for us and i can't help but feel that this is an extremely good example of the modern NBA game and its insistence of playing from behind the 3 point line whilst the Bulls remain in a different era.
This is a serious 'watch this space' and a thread worthy topic should we get plummeted in this area against the Blazers.

I'm far more worried about our own 3pt shooting than what we give up. Historically Thibs teams are great at covering the line and I know he focuses on it, so we should come around there.
Just maybe not with Mike Dun starting. :\

Historically we are but in the present were abysmal.
It's no coincidence that the Heat, Spurs, Warriors and Blazers hold 4 of the 5 best records in the league whilst heavily favouring their games on the importance of the 3 ball.
I seriously think this is a great topic to explore in greater detail. Perhaps tomorrow. Bed time now.

Seems like we don't play well vs this team in Portland either, just like @ Denver.
Just don't get run out of the Rose Garden. It can happen.
It's not called the Rose Garden anymore...

I am disappointed in Noah. I was having high hopes for him after his series against Brooklyn especially on offense and supposedly working on offense in Summer.
He has regressed with his jump-shot and that is hurting Rose and Boozer. And, Nazr has been completely off. The Bulls need to get an offensive minded back-up big. Boozer is back to his old ways of defense and he cannot play Center on defense. It is an open lay-up line if he is at the basket when Taj is roaming around trying to stop the PF.

Re: GT: Bulls@Trailblazers; CSN, PM, 11/22
Not sure if we can start Dun. Then again I don't really follow POR much, I know Wes can shoot but I don't know if he's the type to abuse slow perimeter defenders off the dribble.
That's why I want Kirk to start last night. Dun can't keep up with a chair.
All the match-ups from 1-5 are something to look out for. Lopez is their weakest link, but he's not really bad.
Deng can't (should say shouldn't) be as bad tonight as he was last night. He was scrub-tastic. Hopefully he turns it around.
we go jim

Ok Cuban I have been meaning to ask....what is this obsession with Van Damme? He use to be one of my favorite actors back in the day, (blood sport, kick boxer, lionheart, etc) but those days are long gone. You honestly like his past like 8-10 dirt low budget movies?

We'll probably win this game by 40-50 points. We have six top-10 players in the NBA on our roster. I'd be surprised if LMA scores even one basket.

Thinking it will get really ugly tonight. Another blowout as Deng plays the whole game and Snell watches.

Re: GT: Bulls@Trailblazers; CSN, PM, 11/22
This will be the 2nd loss in a 3 game losing streak. We than win 2 of the next 3 and we end up 2-4 on the road trip.
If we keep struggling at what point do the players start to tune Thibs out?
Players buy into the Thibs/Skiles coaching style when they are winning, if we keep playing poorly I can Thibs losing the players.
Quite frankly I think Thibs is an amazing assistant coach but too demanding for a head coach. After 4 years he still can't manage minutes, nor can he design/implement an effective offense.
We need an offense guru as an assistant coach, we need to use a football coaching framework. Get a great offensive coach and let him control the offense and let Thibs be the defensive coordinator.

When it comes to racism, people say: I don't care if they're black, white, purple or green Ooh hold on now: Purple or Green? You gotta draw the line somewhere! To hell with purple people - Unless they're suffocating - then help'em

I think if the players are tuning out Thibs, then you get new players instead of getting a new coach.
Rose will never tune out Thibs as far as I know, but the rest of the players are all expandable.

Nobody on this team would tune out Thibs. The entire core has always expressed how they love Thibs as a coach.

Portland isn't as good as there record. Wins over San Antonio and at Denver are really the only 2 wins worth noticing.
All other games are vs bottom feeders.
I expect a close game. Not sure if bulls win though, not enough offense.

Bulls have only won in Portland twice since the Jordan era ended. And not since 06-07.

But yeah I know, Mota Center is just dumb though and I'm nostalgic.
