If we lose this game the board is going to be in full blown panic mode, even though all we've heard for months now is how the regular season doesn't matter.

A couple of good match ups tonight: Rose vs Lillard, Deng vs Batum, Boozer vs Aldridge (though I expect Jo to check him defensively)

I fully expect LMA to have a big game as they will likely try to establish a low post presence early and often. I also foresee a big game from Mo Williams. Rose has been shutting down PGs lately though so hopefully he and Deng are able to neutralize their backcourt. Wes Matthews can obviously abuse MDJ if he chooses, let's hope that doesn't happen.

This game could go either way. I don't see how it's possible for Deng to play worse than he did last night and I expect Boozer to bounce back as well. Rose looks like he's getting his timing back so hopefully he goes to work on DL. At the same time, Portland is not going to brick wide open jumpers like Denver.

I think people are mistaking this escape clause. It's only a champion gets that gets to roll out that excuse.

The regular season for the Bulls doesn't matter *unless* they prove they have addressed offensive concerns dating back to 2011. That's all that is important to be looking for as far as I'm concerned.

Say if the Bulls win 'only' 56 games, but show they have secondary scoring addressed, have a top 10 offense, but just happen to lose a few fluky games along the way, or inordinate amount of teams going off with hot shooting, I'd be more than ready to call the team better than 2011.

But the regular season 'doesn't matter' in the vein of just wins, as in that in 2011 we won 62 games, tied for the best record in the league, and yet it was obvious throughout it all the team was too dependent on Rose offensively and there were plenty of foreboding glimpses of that when someone could take him away we fell into ruin.

So far this year nothing looks answered about any of that, and on top of it the team is way thinner than when it had the Bench Mob.

The most honest thing I've ever seen/heard a bulls fan say. Respect.

FOR GREAT JUSTICE, let it be a WIN.
FOR GREAT JUSTICE, let the real NOAH show up for the 1st time this season. (da bulls need ya!)
FOR GREAT JUSTICE, let ROSE kick Lillard's ass.

Let us change fate and turn a loss into a WIN. Unleash the THIBS Kraken upon the bodies of Portland. If the lovable HEROES lose again all will be lost... SUICIDES would be run until the wee hours of the night. Suicides would also be run on the message boards as at least 5 realgm posters shall slit wrists and demand trades.

The Bulls are 5-1 with Rose having more assist than turnovers

The one game we lost was last night when Boozer/Deng was a no no.

I see Rose having more assist than turnovers and Deng playing better. Not Boozer.

We barely win. Bulls 100, Trailblazers 94.

Rose will never tune out Thibs as far as I know, but the rest of the players are all expandable.

:D Expandable, contagious, we need a dictionary link sticky thingamabob lately on this board.

I think Rose absolutely loves Thibs. I also think Kirk really likes playing for Thibs.

Everyone else......... I really don't know.

I forgot Deng, I mean I'd love a coach who played me 48 minutes a night also.

I just don't know if everyone likes to be yelled and screamed at all the time.

Another day, another game... This game will be difficult to win against a red hot Blazers' team. Go Bulls !

It's basketball and they are grown men. It would be different if Thibs was treating them like kids and calling them out there names but that just not his character. He's just a coach that wants his team to work hard 24/7 and sometimes that looks mean to us fans but the players actually love his yelling.

And its more than just the minutes he has made Deng a all-star by helping to showcase his talents. Deng said this summer that if it weren't for Thibs he would have left this team some time ago.

This is going to be a tough game, Portland is playing really well right now. Excited to see Rose vs. Lillard for the first time, hopefully Derrick will step up

Rose is slowly but surely showing signs of coming bakc to form.

You can tell he's still getting used to the nba game because as the game goes on, his legs seem to start getting tired.

I think at around 25-30 games he will be back to mvp Rose. Lets just hope we aren't completly out of the first seed by then.

The problem is that this isn't at the United Center. :(
"And if Rose comes back and is 80% of himself, the Bulls become a pain in the ass" -Zach Lowe

Still rooting for wins, but losses aren't the worst thing in the world. Perhaps the optimal strategy is hoping the Blackhawks are on at the same time.

as a Blazer fan, it will be nice to see that Lopez won't necessarily have the wackiest hair on the floor tonight
