Game 12. (4-7) vs. Atlanta Hawks (7-5). 7:30PM ET.

Post#1 » by dan2314 » Fri Nov 22, 2013 9:06 pm

Hawks starters:
teague/ korver/ carroll/ millsap/ horford

second of a home and home. this should be a much more offensively dominated game after both teams have had some time to rest. we need a dominating win. havent really had one yet, and i hope that it can come from our core players, and shut up all of these RIDICULOUS trade threads.

i say win in a high scoring game. 116-104.

I'm not watching tonight... I'll be drinking.

Hopefully me not watching will give them good luck. Last game was horrible :(

Pistons, who just lost to Atlanta last game and have the worse record, are favored by 3.5 pts tonight.

Vegas is pretty confident we are winning.

Late lineup change ... Singler starts in place of Smith, who is available. #Pistons

Statement being made by Cheeks I feel. I didn't like the hiring but at least he is trying different things I guess.

Goodwill is just guessing but he suggested Josh as a 6th man, its obvious comical to pay a 6th man 13 mill but Monroe/Drum are the core, as ive said all along, any move has to be worked around their development. If Cheeks made this move (again we are all just guessing) it would say a lot about his control.

Very interesting.

wow. josh is available to play tonight as well. i dont like this at all. you have to stick with it. 10 games in isnt long enough to pull the plug on how this team is built. got to let them get it together. singler has been so bad as well. i dont like this. its done because we dont have anyone to play backup PF, but you have to start the 3 bigs together. :|

I'm sorry but Monroe should be the one coming off the bench..dude has been flat out horrible lately. Also, the last thing we need is more Kyle Singler.

Im ok with Monroe getting more shots as long as benching Smith doesnt equal Singler putting up more than 4 shots in the first half which we all know is not gonna be the case he is gonna attempt probably 6-10 shots.

I like that one of the big guys is coming off the bench but Smith would be my 3rd choice, I do think this improves our chances to win tonight.

I love seeing them try this. You can only pound the rock like Marinelli so long before you end up 0-16.

I would prefer Monroe be the one, but just the fact that they are willing to do this means if it doesn't work, trying Monroe off the bench will probably come next.

They've got a versatile roster and experimenting to find everyone's proper role is exactly what they should be doing.

It doesn't matter if Smith 13 mil/yr either, because if they just went by biggest contracts, then Drummond shouldn't be starting making only 2 mil/yr. It all adds up to the same salary cap, so play them wherever works best for the team.

I still would've made Monroe come off the bench, given the trouble we have defending this pick/roll with Monroe, but this is going to be fun to watch for a change.
