I think answering straight yes or no is premature at this point

Re: Giannis v George
A little pre mature. I'd take Paul George over anyone in the nba for next 10 years
OJ Mayo , Michael Jordan , Allen Iverson.

Re: Giannis v George
Ayt and DB, I have to admit that in my years here you guys have kind of morphed into the same poster as you post in such similar ways.
So it's weird to see you arguing!
This thread is awesome though - highlights of high school Garnett, a thread where MBBOT nails drafting and someone waxes lyrical about whether Bledsoe can run the point! Also, a lot of people hated Sanders...
I actually feel Giannis might be more like a smaller Garnett with his ability to block shots.

Re: Giannis v George
I think that 20 minutes a night is plenty for someone in Giannis situation. The rest of the time needs to be on a bench next to anyone who can communicate situations and roles and will help them through the learning moments when they are off the court.
As for how players like Jennings or a LRMAM develop after their rookie seasons has far more to do with whether they reached their ceiling early or we just misjudged what their ceiling is rather than the 15 vs. 30 minutes a night argument.

If you honestly believe Giannis is going to be as good as Paul George... how can you at the same time argue that this particular front office is now doing a terrible job? They will have drafted a top 5 player outside of a top 5 pick while putting us in position to grab another impact player with a high pick this year.

Re: Giannis v George
I think George is an interesting case study just because his level of improvement from year to year is not the norm. It is interesting to look at rookie year vs. rookie year between the two though. These numbers are with Giannis debuting at 18 years, 11 months and George debuting at 20 years, 6 months.
Per 36:
George (20.7 mpg): 13.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals, .7 blocks, .542 TS
Giannis (22.6 mpg): 10.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.2 blocks, .567 TS
I'll be surprised if he's as good as George obviously, as George is a top 7 player or so right now. Fun to look at nonetheless.

Paul George was 20 & closer to 21 that year. Giannis is only 19 & a month at the moment. Something else to consider.
