NBA should continue testing for marijuana.

It becomes an addiction and downfall of players such as Beasley.

They should stop it. I think alot of ppl use it during there off time n why not? Its legal in some areas and almost legal everywhere. It doesnt boost stamina or change anything of the game like steroids do to baseball. As long as they arent high playing during the game then it should be fine. They are held to a higher standard as they are professionals and thats why it shouldnt be allowed during a game n I know 1st hand u can tell when someone is even with clear eyes etc.

No, but I do think they should limit the tests to just before games. Its like any other job. What you do on your own time is your own responsibility. You come to work high, you are stealing money and should get fired.

Treat it like alcohol. Weed is legal in some states now. If having a drink on your day off is allowed, smoking weed should be allowed also.

testing during the season is fine. I dont think they should be smoking during the regular season but they should be able to do whatever the hell they want during the off season

So the NBA should start testing for cheese burgers because it can become an addiction and the downfall of players such as Eddy Curry.

For weed to be someone's downfall they'd have to be insanely vulnerable to begin with. Just because a handful of people are bad at it doesn't mean the authorities should f*** up the party for everyone else (who has self-control).

the nba should continue testing for it as long as it remains illegal. you cant condone illegal activities. whether or not it should be legal is a different question.

As a long-time NBA fan and a "experienced" person with marajuana and its effects...

Weed is fun but it can slow one down.. i think it should be tested for during the season... but let them be (in states that its legal) during the off season... it just goes to show why team want a big work ethic players, not to say weed smoking = little work ethic, but for a athlete it slows one down.

But these are grown ass men let them have their off-season and be responsible to consequences of marajuana on their games not from the league hand-slapping everybody

They are paying millions of dollars to these players --- they are an "investment" they should test whatever they want.

If the players want to smoke weed (i'm not for or against it) they should do it when they've collected all their pay cheques and their careers are over.

They shouldn't test for marijuana, very much becoming legal around the world and even faster in america. Ontop of, what would you guys say if you planted an apple tree and were told you cannot have an apple? I thought so, marijuana is a plant, and it grows, its natural and you shouldn't need permission.
