Looks like another poor shooting night for KCP, was his defense stellar as usual at least? Looks like he gave an extra hustle tonight since he had 4 steals.

Yeah his defense is what is basically keeping him on the floor. He did have a nice stretch of basketball in the 4th quarter where he knocked down a few shots in a row.

Drummond needs more touches. He is almost completely ignored on offense.

If there's one thing to think over during this rough season so far, it's the fact that we have good young pieces to continue to dream about. Hopefully our woes will end very soon. Glad to see our younglings got good minutes though.

According to a Matt Dery retweet Smith being benched to start goes deeper than him simply missing practice according to Dumars (when asked about it by a reporter).

He's leading the league in FG%, yet we are only giving up 9 shots per game. Meanwhile, Jennings ranks 118th out of 132 players in FG%, and we are giving him 16 shots per game. :dontknow:

That's what you call bad coaching/managing.

I would compare it to Michigan not running their offense through McGary.

Yeah iam wondering as well, maybe he is hinting that smith, dre, moose arent working together and is trying something new,but why have smith come off the bench when hes clearly better than moose at the 4 and is getting paid.

Iam starting to get a bad feeling that something is going on in that locker room.

As frustrating as it is to watch your team struggle....we're not even out of the first month of the season and people have already written off the year? Fire Dumars....fire Cheeks....trade everyone....tank....blow it all up...really? If you thought this was going to be an easy 50 win season, then simply your expectations were too high.

Don't get me wrong...definitely don't like the way things are going and I'm frustrated as hell too but it's not the end of the world yet. Most likely we're going to lose Sunday too...so brace yourself. Fortunately, there's still will be 69 games left!

Bingo. Neither of them ever had the game taught to them. I think Jennings is starting to get it, though it would be nice if he could play some defense while trying to figure it out on offense. But he puts up 14 assists like its nothing, and if not for those 4 turnovers in the last 7 minutes, he only had 1 turnover on the game. So there's clearly something special there with him as a true PG. I can deal with the bad shots for now while he learns the delicate balance of knowing when to pass/shoot, but he needs to start playing defense better while he's learning. He's still young though and has time to develop into a great true PG, I think, but not unless his defense gets better. Smith I'm not so sure about him because of his age. He almost just seems content with staying the player he is, even though his is still young enough to develop into a different player. But you can tell Jennings is making that effort to change his game.

I honestly don't understand Jennings...destroyed off the dribble by Teague and most of his floaters were off and were forced. On top of that, his inability to facilitate the offence to any degree.

14 assist and he doesn't have the ability to facilitate the offense? Hooooookay.

What offense? They facilitate some kind of offense for about 10 seconds, then it breaks down to everyone going 1v1 and throwing the ball at the basket. Less than 10 seconds if Stuckey touches it. I play against rec leagues teams with better offensive schemes.....
