There's some truth to that. Teaming Maynor with Temple and Vesely - which has often been the case - is intentionally setting up Maynor and more importantly - the team - for failure. In one of the recent games, he got 2 quick assists to Vesely. That's something that few mortals can do.

Maynor was a terrible signing, but Grunfeld and Wittman have combined to make him look worse than he is.

Maynor has played a total of 21 minutes so far this season with Vesely -- about 20% of his time on the floor (tied for 7th (with Nene) for minutes with Maynor). The guy he's played with most is Martell Webster -- 83% of his minutes. Much bigger culprits in the grand conspiracy to make Maynor look worse than he is: Harrington (67%), Beal (58% -- an ortg with Maynor of 60), and Seraphin (46%).

The other problem, 100% of Maynor's minutes include Maynor.

While the 2 units he's played on by far the most do include Webster, they also include Seraphin and Harrington as his big men. Rondo could look bad playing backup PG for the Wizards. Even the great MCW would look bad playing backup PG for the Wizards.

I'd agree with you, if it wasn't for how much the Wizards sucked when Maynor was subbed in to the play with the starters after Wall's early foul trouble.

Maynor comes in, and the offense comes to a complete halt - every - single - **** - time.

Kendall Marshall anyone?

He couldn't be any worse than this bum Maynor. EG simply refuses to admit a mistake.

Even suck *** Wizards have a valid complaint: having to play with so many other suck *** players makes them look even more suck ***. Too bad Maynor's never had a chance to show his stuff with a serious contender.

Yeah. Price was out of his depth when he was thrust into a starter's role with Wall out, but Price was fine as a 2nd string PG - not great, but not particularly bad either.

It was known going into the season that Wall was injured, and the back up PG was going to have to start. IMO, EG blew it by getting a back up PG who was incapable of providing quality minutes when Wall was out for an extended period of time.

EG is a narcissist. Narcissist never learn from their mistakes because they don't believe they ever make mistakes.

Maybe it's not the players on the bench but the very bench itself that is the problem. Leonsis should never have replaced the lucky bench used by the 1978 championship team. Pollin loved that bench.

Seriously, Shannon Brown & Marshall were at least 1st round picks once upon a time ago. You are telling me they couldn't provide anything for our craptacular bench?

Yeah, I'm in no way saying that Maynor's playing with guys who are much good. It's clear that at least so far, he's not helping them and they're not helping him.

Maynor, I'm sure you are a swell guy and up standing human being...but your basketball skills causes elimination of bowels, and the gouging of eyes.

if he was so bad, why did EG sign him? also I remember many of you on this forum happy about the sign. so many of you all thought it was a good idea as well as EG.

Huh, check the signing thread. Most of the posters hated the signing.

I was just glad we didn't sign Nate. I don't like his game, but now...Jesus Christ.
