Put him on a 6th man role in San Antonio and watch him destroy opposing bench units and I'll be his biggest fan -- sit here and tell me he's not still a chucker who can't play a lick of defense and I'll call you out on a sh*t take. And don't blame the coach or roster for being sh*t while with us, because Curry was drafted into that. At least Monta was drafted into We Believe.

Dirk can do wonders for a lot of guards. No surprise that Monta is doing well there.

It is a surprise actually I didn't see a single Dallas fan that wasn't turned off when they signed him. I knew playing with Dirk would open up the game for him but Mavs fans mostly just thought "Well I guess Dirk isn't touching the ball anymore".

I would say because of those stories they've heard about Monta being a volume scorer, they were less than thrilled. Monta will pass it's just he tends to take his jumpshot far too often which makes him inefficient, as he's actually a pretty horrid jump shooter. But surround him with jump shooters and opening up the paint for him is exactly where he thrived in that we believe team.

As long as the team can keep Monta attacking and not settling for jump shots they'll be fine, on the defensive end however, they're screwed.

Right on...nice to see Monta have a good season on a good team. I have always liked Dallas and it's nice to see them beat Houston always!

Houston and Dallas are about the same ....neither play much defense...both can score...I can see them fighting for the 7th and 8th spot.

Clips lose soundly to Thunder....

How much are they going to ask CP to do on that team lol.

Too bad Warriors couldn't squeak out the Memphis and Spurs games....they'd have some distance between them and Clips and Houston....

They said during the game that he was leading the league in points in the paint....but also they mentioned that he has cut down shooting threes and is staying inside the arc more.

Could be that Carlisle has a good handle on him

So far so good, we'll see if that can last all season though. He can be a very valuable player if you force him to attack the paint consistently.

Living in the DFW area, Ellis before the season was being hyped by the media as being a pass first PG, that can score. Ellis was even being touted this by the local play by play crew as well.

I think the hardcore basketball fan, knows who Ellis is, but the casual Dallas fan remembers Ellis as one of the key guys that beat them in the playoffs.

I haven't heard from anyone here that thought Dirk wouldn't be touching the ball, but instead he would have a pass first PG feeding him a lot.

lol at being hyped as a pass first PG hahaha, though he probably can be that consistantly, probably not his biggest strength or in his mindset

from the games ive seen hes been having a great 2 man game with dirk, and sometimes takes over as pg from jose. the biggest thing is that he is attacking the paint more, and trying to limit long twos.

its amazing to see the difference from the bucks to the mavs, talk about a change in environment and coaching. dirk and rick are doing well with ellis, who has always been the type that needs direction.

remember captain jacks influence? haha.

good to see him do well, i think he is playing some of the best basketball of his career right now.
He played hard for us, and because of that i'll root for him, regardless if the results of his career here wasn't all that positive. plus he still has the GS tat hahahaha.

im glad we have the klay and curry backcourt though. monta will never have klays size or shooting, though i think monta is more talented at basketball.

I'm watching the Nets v Wolves game, and the Nets are just about the worst team I've ever watched. Blatche, yes, Andray Blatche is their BEST player. It is one of the funniest sporting catastrophes I've ever watched. So much money, so much vomit.

What a night, Gasol, Rose and Dre with injuries. Rose another ACL?

Damn, Kings very nearly knocked off the Clippers in LA but fell just short. We play the Kings in a bout a week, so I hope we are healthier by then, they often give us problems.

Man, I feel terrible for Chicago fans. As rough as it is for us with all the injuries, at least ours haven't completely ruined our season (yet). We may suffer a bit in the short term, but at least we still have a chance to end the year strong.

Disgusting, CP3 is the worst of the worst when it comes to flopping. It's sickening and embarrassing that the NBA let's crap like this stand, because he's one of their top stars I very much doubt they will mete out a significant punishment.
