OT: Daily Thoughts

Post#1 » by Teens On Acid » Sat Nov 23, 2013 2:24 pm

there's not many of us here so i thought i'd start a thread we can all just post in, game threads seem a bit irrelevant so we may as well just have a single thread running. Rebel, corona..sticky?

am i the only one smirking like a true villain at the news of Andre Iguodala receiving an injury? (i know it's bad sportsmanship..i know i know)

its just god testing the resolve of gsw.

i take greater pleasure in knowing how bad the knicks are....and that we own their unprotected 2014 pick. and in another handful of losses melo may just pack it in for the season.

Galo won't be back for a while. They're taking a slow approach on him and we realistically won't see him until January-February at the earliest.

I would love it if we made the playoffs and the Knicks implode to get us a top 5 pick. How ironic would it be that the Melo trade would be the trade that gets us our next franchise player.

I am watching/cheering for every team playing the Knicks but I do think they'll figure it out and win 40 and be in the playoffs.

I expect the Knicks to get better, but 40 wins I do not see happening, that would put them on a win pace of over 50% through win percentage. I just do not think they have the pieces especially with Chandler out until mid-late December and the problems that seem to be going on around them.

If we get a top 5 pick, who do you think is the best fit for us?

that plus Woodson seems completely lost ..... I guess when you put in a coach that is sympathetic to your personal needs when you need to grow that coach just doesn't have anything for you.....

Same. Every Knicks loss almost brings me as much joy as a Nuggets win, and not even necessarily because we own their draft pick.

So when McGee returns, I feel it's Hickson that should lose his minutes.

Arthur's defense and spacing has been handy recently.

I agree, in fact I kind of hope Hickson is gone before the trade deadline, I do not dislike him per se, but I do not understand the need for him, he is okay in the post but only goes down their occasionally, his defense is lacking, and his role is already covered by a better player in Faried.

Also I like what I have seen from Arthur as well, he is a good defender, and his shot looks good. I still don't think the Nuggets got good value for Koufos, but I can at least see why they liked Arthur.

After Granger being out for most of the last 2 years I would much rather keep Gallo, especially since they are very comparable players and Gallo is significantly younger.

yea i tend to agree. We haven't sen what the potential of Gallo, Ty, Faried, Fours and Moz all healthy with 20/30 games together looks like. Give it some more time

I wonder what kind of value the Nuggets could get for that Knicks pick in a trade right now? it is looking like top 5 is a possibility, but if they could get an upgrade at Center from McGee, that would not break my heart.

Since this draft is reportedly one of the best ever, I think it's a must keep pick.

Really want Wiggins though, we're a good SG away.

It depends on what you think the Knicks do from here on out, if they find a way to make changes and move up the pick is just okay, if they continue on their current course the Nuggets get one hell of a pick.

Personally I have only watched a few minutes here and there of Wiggins and am not really sold on him being the best prospect, I think I would rather have Randel or a big center.

My question on the value though is say you could trade the pick and say Foye and Anthony Randolp for OJ Mayo and john henson from the Bucks, would you do it? What if it was the picks plus filler for OJ and Sanders from them?

I would not like to see wiggins on this team. He cannot shot outside and is a very raw player. I would like to see us draft. He is 6.6 and is a n explosive guard that can play pg/sg, his game is similar to Westbrook and his Australian like me!

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_ ... ocker-room
"I don't think I have lost the locker room," Woodson said during his weekly spot on "The Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco Show" on ESPN New York 98.7. "I don't think I have lost players from an individual standpoint. What I have lost is a Tyson Chandler and a Raymond Felton, that is what I have lost from my starting team.

"And I don't know if you can go on any roster and take two starters out of their roster and they still survive," Woodson added. "They might play in spurts like we are doing today. I am not making excuses, but I would sure love to take my chances with Tyson and Raymond in my lineup."

You know it is funny, Felton has only missed 3 or 4 games, yet that is his excuse for them being 3 and 10?

I am telling people things are looking bad in New York, and with the built in excuse of the injuries and the horrible state of the eastern conference, Woodson may keep his job and convince the owner/front office staff to hold off on any moves until he has a couple of weeks after Chandler gets back.

Meaning that pick is going to be looking awful good by December.

Return to Denver Nuggets
