Get Phil Jackson to be the Cavs' GM but he has to be the coach for the rest of this year too.
Thoughts?
Thoughts?

Dan has the cash - but Phil would have ZERO interest

Only job Phil would take right now is in Miami.

I think that if Dan Gilbert fires Coach Brown 14 games into his first season of a five-year contract, it would send the wrong message to any coach or g.m. who the Cavs wanted to interview. Coach Brown is going to get a full year.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Players need to step up before you think about firing Brown.

No they don't. Players are in general spoiled brats that have been catered to their entire lives. Coaches always kissing their behinds, free schooling in college, free women, free fans that triead them like gods. Now as pros they get to say and do as the want if they are good enough via free agenacy. They have ruined most pro sports leagues for the mid and small markets in the country. Pro football is the only exception. If you don't get that your naive.
Oh and yes. Gilbert was stupid to hire a coach that has only won due to having a superstar on the floor period
Cavs need to get a GM then a coach that does their job and stay out of it.

Last I checked, Rome was not built in a day.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Yeh and after it was built no foreign enemy destroyed it. Over time it just destroyed itself.

you need to do your job as a fan, you're probably one of those guys who blamed everyone except LeBron for losing the 2011 finalskiwibrindle wrote:No they don't. Can you name a coach who has won that has not had a superstar?

As I remember it in 2007, La Douchebag was the only one you was trying. I do realize his style demands the ball and at the time the Spurs stopped him and therefore stopped us. Now I have no interest in him coming back even though he is by far the best player at this time. This thread is about getting a solution at the top. Gilbert is a businessman not a GM or Coach. he needs to find help at the top.

Gilbert does not care about the Cavs anymore, he got his Casino built and all is well in his castle. #missionaccomplished

$ isn't the issue. If it were, the Nets would be better.

Yet you're suggesting they hire a coach who has made a career out of only winning due to always having not just a superstar, but the best player in the league. I think Phil likes being overrated and isn't going to jeopardize that.kiwibrindle wrote:No they don't. Players are in general spoiled brats that have been catered to their entire lives.
